In regards to buying TFCC Punch/Counterpunch on eBay for a premium, Pete@Botcon has the following to say:

Nothing like a cryptic message from the Club. Heaven forbid they actually say what they mean.

Unless they are going to fix the head issue, I couldn't care less.

For that price, P/CP is not head and shoulders above the rest

As far as the club is concerned your probably screwed, but maybe some kind soul could pick one up for you at Botcon? In the mean time I'll be patiently waiting another month to get my two P/CP's that I paid for months ago because I didn't buy SG Cyclonus as well.

The Transformers Collectors Club is a seperate entity from BotCon, not to be confused with it.

Except of course when it is. Then that's what's up.

I suggest that if this holds true, attempt to convince someone attending to help you out. Please don't message me on the matter though, I'm already padded out for travel space at the moment.

And I'll be a salty SOB if I finally get my P/CP and there is an issue with it, and they have sold all the replacement ones at Botcon and can't help me.

If I have space and if they are available (and if I have any cash left!) I may try to pick up one or two, but those are big ifs.

When it comes to speaking directly, Pete is actually miles ahead of his grumbly counterpart Mr. BS.

BS would be Brian Svaage's initials, of course.

Am I the only one who takes this as advice not to buy something that hasn't been released yet as it's either stolen or fake?

Nope. I read it as a "don't buy anything that could be a factory pull, until our event and eBay is flooded with ones picked up at con."

This is what I am hoping for.

Sounds like what they are trying to do is to keep people form selling their extra P/CP for a profit. The fact that the figures have been already produced, tells me there won't be anything different about the head. That would be very erroneous at best...send some a jacked up head to some, and the rest get a full size head.

I think the delay is they don't have all the P/CP figures that were ordered, or they had made a few more than what was ordered from the club member so they could sell them at BotCon. They probaly did a couple of hundred more above the initial order run, thus making a profit I suppose.

No matter how cryptic the message, bull---t, is still bull---t! Ship the damn toy or make up a better excuse.

I'm not going to BotCon, I just want the damn figure I ordered and have been charged for back in March.
In the hood we would say, "get your lie right!"

If and this is a big "if", they have managed a second production run, they should (IMO) handle it thus for the first week of availabilty;

1. Orders only for existing members, no sigining up just to get on the bandwagon.

2. One per person.

3. If you've already got a confirmed order, no more.

After the first week anything left can go into the regular store, thus giving everyone a fair chance.

This is my first year as a club member, in the UK & Europe we screweed over by Hasbro enough as it is, I don't need to pay to get screwed over as well.

Well, if you're going to Botcon and can't wait, I suppose I could help you out by taking one off you in a month or so, so you can buy one next week to tide you over...
