Not liking the face, and the ankle is weirding me out.

I keep forgetting this guy is a deluxe. I actually wish he was a new voyager fig.
Cool, but the ankles are strange and look like they could loosen up and be a problem.

We have new images of Darkmount! We're not going to show them to you, but trust us, they're great!
On an unrelated note, how long do you think it will be before someone kitbashes this thing's head into a miniature fish boll?

It looks like all that kibble will limit his articulation. The ankles aren't helping either, I think I'll pass.

I'm liking the look of this figure in alt and robot mode, though as others have noted, the ankle design does look questionable. However, it has articulation at the knuckles...hands with points of articulation, especially on a Deluxe class figure, is always something I look favourably upon.

Okay, yeah, the head isn't quite as comic-accurate as I'd like upon closer inspection, but I'm still as excited about this guy as I was about Primus a few years back. The shoulder kibble's probably the least accurate, but it evokes Shrapnel, who appeared to be his lieutenant in "Return to Cybertron", so it sorta' works. Red triangles in close to the right places, and his first appearance printed on the front of tank mode...say, suppose there'll be a repaint where all the red parts are orange and "M18" is printed there instead? (Sorry Nel) Oh, and the triangle on his forehead should be a tiny Decepticon symbol instead, but we can fix that easily enough.
Nah, we need 2 remolds instead: an extensive one where he's just a head in a tank of green fluid, and another that can transform into Megatron!
As for the size problem, just buy enough that some KO manufacturer takes notice, rips off the mold, and enlarges it to 2X! I'm buyin' multiples for kitbash anyway, especially if so many of you are actually gonna' pass. I mean come on; if THIS guys a big enough success, Hasbro might actually tackle show-accurate fembots, and Devcon, and Jhiaxus!

Unfortunate about the ankles, like most have already mentioned, but other than that, Darkmount looks like a pretty impressive figure. The weapon, head and overall aesthetics (cept the ankles) of this guy looks cool. I also find the appearance of his arms fairly interesting, be that good or not, quite unlike what we're used to seeing.

This toy is awesome. Can't believe we're finally getting this character after all of these years.
Now if they'd only give us Circuit Breaker and Death's Head in the Marvel Universe line and I'd be a happy camper.

That pickax is sweet.
Indeed, the ankles aren't the best. I prefer more of a cankle on my bots.

Well, one thing I don't understand is why isn't it showing off the third mode; his immobile turret mode. Either they left it out or we just haven't seen the back of the package yet. Also, I couldn't tell if he either had a faceplate or a mouth. Still can't XD. Other than that, expect to see him on my Classics-Universe-Generations shelf in the near future

Wow, besides his horrible feet/ankles, he looks fantastic.
I'm considering using him as my Movie Straxus, but I'm not sure whether he fits in, could I get a second opinion?

As for the mouth-vs.-plate, that part of his head actually looks true to the comics, wherein he technically has a mouth...but it's just odd. He doesn't really have a lower jaw. What looks like a plate with horizontal ridges is actually his neck: a wide pipe that meets his head just above the fangs, which are the lower part of his face, so that there's a visible space in between them, which serves as an inarticulate mouth that the top of his neck is the bottom lip of.
Strange and clunky? A tad, but no moreso than the random parts composing the insect-like mouths of half the Bayniverse TFs. And having a head that unique, even 23 years and thousands of characters since his debut in the comics, is quite an accomplishment.
Now if they do a toy of Emirate Xaaron, should they go with the speaker-mouth he had in the UK comics, or Andy Wildman's interpretation of an organic-looking mouth with the 2 vertical partitions inside looking like fangs? That, and the color scheme...

So far I'm quite impressed with the Generations line. I don't think theres one fgigure in it that I don't want to get.

I wouldn't worry too much about the ankles just yet, he's probably mis-transformed...
One of my favorite characters from the Marvel UK comics, this guy will be mine!

I don't know if it is just the pictures, but the color on this makes it look cheap. As someone else said, a darker blue might look better.
This guy is not really my thing.

A darker blue would have been nice, but i'll just wait to see him on the shelf and go from there. Overall he's nice, but very different indeed and the pick-ax makes a nice barbarian persona touch to this guy...

Just compared these new images to the original Hasbro images they released a while back as I thought the head was different as well. I don't think it is though. The lighting on the original makes his face look kind of silver, as if he has a silver face and is wearing a blue helmet.
How dastardly of you Hasbro.
Still wishing there were more classic Classics in this Generations line.

Kibble or strange ankles I don't care... I will finally have a Straxus to compete with Megatron for leadership of the Decepticons!!

Still don't understand why he's not named Straxus. Is there really something else out there that used the name already?
