Figurine Repair

Hi Everyone.

I'm new to the Forums after finally deciding to get back into collecting the figurines.

After finally getting my hands on Transformers: War For Cybertron I was alerted to the series of figures based on the same generation as portrayed in the game and I had to get my hands on them.

So I went out and bought the new Cybertronian Optimus Prime and after a day I notice an irregularity in the plastic. Whether it was just there or happened while transforming him I don't know but I was wondering if there are any tips in repairing such things? Below is a link to the picture I took of the problem.

I may just be being pedantic about it and should just get over it and enjoy my new toy :P

Thanks,

Adrobiel.

That's actually the same for my OP too, I think factory sealed OP all have it over at that spot. Maybe someone like to confirm it for me?

Anyways its a small issue, you should just enjoy your OP! :D

I agree, and most, if not all toys have such spots.

Hi again.

Thanks for the reassurance, I'd hate to have destroyed my new figure :P

I currently have Bumblebee and Drift on Layby at my nearest toy shop and intend to add Thrust on there too as soon as I get my next salary. Then the seemingly long wait for the next wave.

I intend to collect the rest of this series.

Then be prepared to spend all of your money, and more, as you'll expand your interests.

If you REALLY want to "fix" that spot, the easiest way is to find a shade of paint that matches that EXACTLY when painted over white, then get some gap filler putty or epoxy putty at a hobby shop, fill it in, overpaint it white as a primer, and paint it with that exact shade of red.

Obviously, the really tricky part here is matching the exact shade of red.

For little chips and imperfections like that, Liquid Paper (white-out, whatever you call it) is actually better and cheaper than putty.

Yes, I definitely agree I will probably be spending a fair bit in the future on more of these.

It's hard to see where to go from here, but I guess I will just follow this series through and see what comes next. I should really re watch all the shows too, I'm missing references in War For Cybertron from the movie heh.
