I go to Wal Mart after Work this morning expecting to snag Wreckage, Bonecrusher, Starscream and a couple of the Robot Heroes.
Nothing..
Nada..

They did not put out any movie toys (even though they got 3 pallets a couple of weeks ago)..

I go to Target.. At least they had the Deluxe's out so I did snag a Wreckage and Bonecrusher (I saw Swindle but I will pick him up later on, I may get the vision Prime eventually as well). They had some voyagers out but I only want Starscream right now (they only had Blackout and ratchet).

I go to another Wal Mart..

Nothing again (they did not even have their isle cleared for the TF product).

I go to yet another Wal Mart and they are scrambling to get stuff on the shelves so I snagged a Starscream (I will get Ironhide and Ratchet later)
The Hasbro rep was there helping put out the TF items and after telling her of the lack of TF items at the other wal marts she said they may get fined for not having product out when they were supposed to have it out on a scheduled release date.

I go to TRU hoping that the Deluxe clone jet (I don't remember his name) came out with this first wave and they were just putting their product out..

Today is June 2nd... Correct?

There's minimal stuff over here. Only a select few TRU's have Leader Prime. No stores in my area have Leader Megatron. No-one has any deluxes. The only Voyagers I can get are Blackout and Ratchet. This launch has been somewhat disappointing.

I went to my Wal Mart and found half the Transformers toys have been sold out, there were no voyagers and leaders available, only the deluxes, voice changer, and action battlers. later on a saw this one guy picking deluxes off the shelf like petals off a flower. I did manage to pick up Jazz, Bumblebee, Barricade, and Bonecrusher.

oh yes today is second i got half of the figures to today at toys r us optimus, starscream, ratchet, ironhide, two prtoforms, bunmblebee unleased, starscream and others all i need now is meagtron, barricade, bonecrusher, and brawl and i think i will be done unless im missing one.

ah jazz thats who i forgot i need him to i wont get freanzy though.

but i do have the voyager, and leader classes in my possesion.

plenty here in houston, but the assortments varied by location, and walmart had NOTHING AT ALL.

I hit target bright and early at 8 am.....THEY ONLY HAD 1 STARSCREAM!!! Fortunately I was able to get him but that is ridiculous! Their selection was good but there was only 3 or 4 of each figure.

If I hadn't gotten there when they opened I would have been out of luck.

I got a FAB SS and a Real Gear at the local Supermarket.

My TRU didn't have any Deluxes at all. They had pretty much everything else, but no Deluxes. When I went to Target, they had a bunch of the Protoform figures, but only one Swindle, one Brawl, one Bonecrusher, and two BBs.

The street date is a date that they can not be set out before, it is not necessarily a hard and fast rule of when they "have" to set them out.

The same thing happened to me with the Ultra Magnus and Skywarp pack, the local Target had not yet got rid of what they had on the endcap so they delayed ever putting it out at all.

Between the lack of Knowledge, the accidental set out that got some stores in trouble, their apprehensiveness to set them back out and distribution, you probably are going to end up going to multiple stores for the whole movie line.

Yeah...check my 'Searching in Cincinnati' post..didn't hardly see any Deluxe figs..but I got Brawl, Leader class Prime, Voyager Ironhide..and Grimlock from the redux gen 1 today

I went to 2 walmarts, 1 target, and 1 tru this morning, and saw literally everything scheduled for the initial release, including the walmart bumblebee/barricade 2 pack as well as the target and tru exclusives.

Hell, I could have bought the entire initial release at target alone. Our stores were actually prepared today.

The only transformer I bought was Blackout. Think I will wait for some price cuts on this line, just not too excited about these for some reason.

Yeah, I just got back from there, I was there as they (well, she, seeing as how it was only one middle-aged black woman there) were putting them out. Snagged Bumblebee vs Barricade. Would have grabbed some other stuff too, but for the being broke.

My closest Wal-Mart had them all, except Scorponok, Wreckage, and Leader Class Megatron.

They weren't even out of the cases at midnight by the time I got there.

I ended up helping the guy stock some of it, I think he was impressed with how fast I was. lol

I ended up going to another Wal-Mart and found one Scorponok and Wreckage. I bought Scorp...Wreckage doesn't interest me at all.

I normally wouldn't have spent that kind of dough, but this month is my birthday, and well a little extra won't kill the bank I guess.

I called a local K-Mart and asked about their selection and the guy said "Yeah, we're supposed to have had them out today, we're not allowed to put them out until the 6th." I asked why and he said "Well...we got in trouble for selling some early. I'll leave it at that."

It was very hit or miss in my area too.

I think it was a bigger deal to us than to stores. Apparently, this was not as important as oh say, a Star Wars movie toys release date...



I did eventually score what I wanted by going to 5 different stores, but it was frustrating because this was supposed to be our day, Transformer's toys fans should finally have been able to have a day like Star Wars has had in the past.

Last week, I went in to my local Wal-mart, and when they wouldn't sell me the deluxes(they were sitting on a palette), I asked if they'd be out for June 2nd. The guy that works the toy department told me "I'll put them out at 12:01 AM." (A direct quote.)

So, when I arrived, there was nothing. Nothing on the palettes, nothing in the aisles, nothing. Seeing my friendly neighborhood toy employee I ask jovially "where are my transformers?"

And he says, "I don't know when we're going to put them out."
I told him I'd help him put the things out, I didn't really care, as long as he could go get the palettes. And he said, to my face, "I'm too busy."

An hour later, with the manager and half the truck crew, I got my toys. It took me an hour to go thru the palettes, and though I have had my hands on 22 Bumblebees, every single one was the break prone version. Most of the cases I cracked only had 1 BB in it, and 2 Barricade instead.

The Wal-mart 15 miles from the house had no TF's of any kind on the aisle display by midnight, June 3rd.

I gotta say, that while I like the figs I've purchased (Ratchet, Barricade, Brawl, Wreckage, Jazz, Ironhide & a gob of the robot heroes) and that having my hands on the molds has completely sold me on the movie designs, getting a hold of figures that are supposed to be out has felt a lot more like work than a hobby.

Just wanna say Brawl's transformation is less than stellar. The connection of his arms to the torso..sucks.

Is Barricade worth getting?

Aesthetically, he's a creepy bastard. The car mode is great, and he exudes evil in bot mode. On the other hand, he's got some lame robo-punch gimmick going on with his left arm that (at least on mine) is hair-trigger. It stays in place fine, but it can be annoying during the TF sequence.I'd still recommend him. The biggest surprises (for me) is how awesome Ratchet really is, and how much I love the Robot Heroes figs.

Haha, yeah I was surprised at the Robot Heroes little figs too..I got Prime/Ravage and have Prime overlooking my Xbox 360 now

I'd like to see a Robot Heroes Jetfire and Unicron before too long!

Check the backs of them the next time you go (or look at the news), there is already a Unicron planned (with a Prime opening the matrix).
