BOTCON DoublePunch Scorch set SOLD OUT

Hey everyone

was a dealer at this year's botcon, came into some inside knowledge after the show ended sunday.

The Doublepunch, Scorch and Shattered Glass White Ravage set is completely sold out! It was definitely the most popular set there as I was being asked for it all weekend.

Looks like this might be a repeat of Botcon Darksyde Megatron and Waspinator as people were going crazy for an Ultra class botcon exclusive.

I know that there is still stock of the Rapido, Cindersaur set and that might make an appearence on the TFclub site soon, but if you are waiting on the Doublepunch set to be available through Funpub, it wont be.

thought everyone could use the heads up, since they are selling on ebay really fast!

Found this guy selling the double punch set, seems to have some stock.

I was able to secure two sets for myself at botcon but anyone else who wants this set should grab it now while pricing is still reasonable

That DonkeyPunch is my favorite toy from this year's set. Everyone should have him.

Just a warning though, Pete Sinclair (I think that's the guy - the one with the goatee) told me the visors are warped as a running defect. A ton of DonkeyPunchs have this problem, so that's just how its going to be.

My Donkey Punch was perfect right out of the bag.

I went through four different Donkey Punches before taking a pair of them home. Though, none of the issues I had to deal with were visor related.

Then I sent Geekee1 a Donkey Punch in the mail. Boy was he surprised!

That is an awesome surprise, EVERYONE at the con was asking me if I had extra ones, but the two I did get were definitely not for sale.

It was weird, the cindersaur, rapido set and the Doublepunch Scorch Glit set were about the same price but you got sooo much more in the Doublepunch set. An Ultra, a deluxe and a cassette versus two deluxes. They usually make them a little more even.

I saw the case boxes, doublepunch sets were 5 in a case, and the cindersaur sets were 24 to a case, same size boxes. definitely lopsided but awesome for those who were able to grab them.

Even SG Ravage is fetching $50 on ebay and giving Donkey Punch a run for its money. It's too bad I didn't think to buy an extra like everyone else.

Not worried about Double Donkey, but Scorch and Ravage should arrive any day.

72 for two deluxes, one with a remolded head.

79 for a deluxe and an ultra. The ravage was molded with hound/scorch so it's not an extra. Heck, it wasn't even advertised, doesn't come with instructions or tech specs but is going for $50. At Botcon the message board was full of ads like this:

"Double Punch - $35
Scorch no ravage - $25"

and there weren't many takers.

And yet for some people out there, the Ravage is the (only) reason for wanting that pack.

I certainly didn't buy the one I did for Scorch.

I think there were probably quite a few takers as they are all gone. Should be seeing a sold out graphic on the TFCC site within 24 hours.

Honestly. I did not see that one coming at all. WTF Shattered-Glass-verse?

I came for the SG Ravage, but I stayed for the Donkey Punch! Mine has the warped visor, but I'll find some way to remedy that.

I had that problem so bad it took earnest effort to get the head to flip out. It's since been fixed, but the GOOD thing is that if you want Donkey Punch to be more true to the original figure, the visor should be removed anyway. Looks good without it, too.

I have mine in "up" position - I don't know what else to call it. Basically it's resting on DonkeyP's forehead.

check out the new botcon thread by Blurrz, as I said, cindersaur and rapido are the only sets that were left by sunday.

if anyone is looking to grab a double punch, scorch or SG ravage, TFCC wont be able to help. And if I am correct in my prediction, in just a few months double punch will be going for huge bids.

if you want him, grab em now guys.

AT the convention there weren't any takers for Double Punch $35 or Scorch $25 off the message board because people just went to the club store and bought the entire pack.

I've discovered a conspiracy. SG Ravage is the same color as G2 Sideswipe's gun!!!!!!!!!! What could this mean??????

hence there being many takers overall for an awesome set, why would anyone buy doublepunch loose when they are attending botcon?

We are so on the same page. I took his visor off the moment I transformed him. My roomies looked at me funny too. I said that it was loose, but he shouldn't have a visor anyway. It also gives him a bit of a different look from my Superlink Scoponok.

The set was $80 at the club store. Are you saying that people were selling them for less than the club price?
