Agreed. But I do love the alt mode on this figure.

I still say you take the head from this mold. put it on animated deluxe cybertronian prime, add a little frenzy/rumble magic and BAM! Animated Kup....

this isnt the takara release? i though hasbro only used those stupid silver and gold faction logos for the animated figs.....

No, there's no surprise there. Just dull. Take a look at someone watching TV mindlessly, then compare that face to Rodimus. The similarity WILL shock you.

Not according to the images shown at Botcon. His faction symbol is red.

Looks nice, but I won't cancel my Takara Rodimus pre-order just yet.

Seems he'll be as difficult to find here as Blurr first and then Arcee were.

Waaaant. I was hoping this was the Takara one so I could decide on my preorder, but that'll have to wait.

I'll be getting him through the Animated Sons of Cybertron release so all good!

I was really looking forward to this figure, but now that i see his face i lost all interest.

He bloody looks like Voldemort, wth?

Why should his face make you cancel your order now? We've had some very clear shots of it before.

I agree, this is not the best face in the animated line. But, as a Hot Rod collecter, I'll bite. I like the figure well enough, but I gotta agree that the face doesn't do much for me.

Ya know, that's the first thing I thought when I looked at the above picture. I hadn't even thought anything of the facial expression until someone complained about it. Reminds me of a conversation I had with the wife last Sunday after church.

Me: Wasn't that a great sermon Father gave today? Very poignant.

My Wife: Meh, didn't really notice. The way he styled his hair was messed up and it was bugging me.

Yes they will be released as TRU exclusivess ala Arcee and Ratchet. I think they are due septemberish?

i peed a little

Glad a I pre-ordered the Takara version for my son. While Arcee was hard to find at first (now I see her more and more) I doubt Rodimus will become a shelf warmer. Never had any version of Hot Rod (I got the G1 Rodimus Prime when it was first released, so I didn't mind so much then), so this will fill a void in our collection.

I preordered mine being that Arcee just hit the shelves of TRU in my area after all this time. I have a feeling that finding him will be just as tough.
