Was my Ironhide defective?

My Ironhide was giving me a real hard time at the waist. the two black tabs wouldn't fit into the blue thing that attaches to his upper body. I had to use a drill to make the holes bigger to make the damn thing connect.

Did anyone else have this problem?

mine was hard at first, you should've just pushed in a little harder. now i have trouble putting him back in alt mode. the torso area wont fit correctly. good thing i mainly keep them in robot mode.

Yeah, me and my friend couldn't do it and rather than bust our fingers I just made the hole a little bit bigger.

No Your Ironhide isnt Defective you just Have to use A ton of force to get them in. Im Having trouble with his crotch area (you know the part that connects his torso to his legs that thing?) In alt mode It sticks out so his arm cannot fold up so He cant roll. it disturbs me.

Did you completely unhook the crotch plate. You have the tab that hook it into his waist, but there are also two tabs that hook the crotch into the middle part before it snaps into the waist, if you don't unhook those and unfold it all the way the arms can't snap into place in alt mode.

I can add some "defectivness" to this figure. Why is there a blue plastic piece on the back of head yet nothing that "glows" through when the light hits it??

Are my eyes painted over black or something, or are they all this way?

I have to assume you're doing something wrong. The figure is extremely complicated and if something isn't in the right spot, parts will not line up. The waist takes a ton of force to connect into the torso and will pop out if anything is remotely placed wrong. But when everythin is lined up it will snap in and stay in. I was having the same trouble and then I noticed that I was pushing at the wrong angle.

Well after making the holes bigger I haven't had any problems, no looseness, which was my only concern. So yeah, he's fine now.

Well. If that's what it takes then I'm glad it's working for you now.

the only issue i've had with ironhide was the crotch and thighs not fitting back into the vehicle mode (until i figured out: you just have to push it up further)

its not the most natural process, but ironhide is up there in my favorites (disclaimer: so far, as far as voyagers go, i only have ironhide and robovision prime, and i lurve both of them equally)

Yea, turning Ironhide into robot mode for the first time took a while for me too.

I was afraid to apply too much force on the waist to get that blueish piece with the two holes to snap into the waist. Eventually it did and everything was alright.

When I transformed him back into truck mode, I had a hard time getting the arms and all to line up, but after I realized that the pegs on his breastplate went into angled holes in his arms (with some force applied) everything snapped into place as tight as when I first took him out of the package.

hmm, i had no problems at all except my ironhide's front side of his face has no light pipping, the same problem several other folks have had..
oh well, seems to transform just fine, but i've only done it once or twice
