I finally found ROTF Bludgeon in a store, but I'm undecided as to whether I will get him because I'm not entirely sure if he will work stylistically with my Classics. Any opinions?

He looks great with Classics in bot or alt mode.

He was meant to be part of the Classics line, well before that he was meant to be part of the Cybertron line but he still fits in with the Classics.

I have him and Mindwipe right where my Decepticons section ends and my Minions/Servants of Unicron section begins, works really well, they almost look to me to be half dead cons that Unicron now owns.

Actually, he was in my classics shelf until yesterday when I was rearranging my toys. (Added botcon guys and did major reshuffle) After the rearrange, I decided to take ALL (2 of them Lockdown and Bludgeon) my movie characters out. I love the toy, I really do, but aesthetically, it's just to different for my taste. Especially after stepping back and looking at them all. But it comes down to personal taste. I know a lot of people do have him in. I'm planning on doing a custom Bludgeon now from the Cybertron Unicron mold.

The Cybertron line? I can see how he could have been meant to be part of Classics/Universe, but he doesn't really fit into Cybetron at all with his realistic alt mode and movie style transformation. Not doubting you, just seems like he would be really out of place in that line.

I'm of the same opinion.
Love the mold, but i'm using Cyb Unicron as a classics Bludgeon.
(Let me know what mods you carry out on him, need a few ideas)
Plus, the repaint of movie Wreckage (with the impending 3rd party head) may do the trick also.

http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Bludgeon_%28ROTF%29#NotesThe origin of Voyager class Bludgeon is older than one may expect. Artist Don Figueroa submitted a concept for a Unicron Trilogy Bludgeon toy that looked very similar to the final product way back during the development of the Energon or Cybertron toylines. Obviously, the concept wasn't put into production as a toy at the time, so Figueroa used it as inspiration for his IDW Publishing "Stormbringer" rendition of Generation 1 Bludgeon. However, Hasbro evidently resurrected the concept for the Universe (as mentioned by Hasbro at BotCon 2009) and then the Revenge of the Fallen lines. Figueroa notes that his contribution on this toy is very small, as his work on it ended when he submitted the concept to Hasbro way back when.

He's on display with my Classics, works pretty well to me.
The smaller deluxe version (Wreckage repaint) was too movie looking, I felt, thus he's with the movie line.

I think it fits just fine, as does Mindwipe.

I actually included ROTF Dirge in my neo G1 Classics set up too. Mindwipe is one insane toy too. In fact when I got him at Super Target, he was gone right after I pulled mine off the shelf.

Right now im using Bludgeon for my classics line and like everyone says he does looks good in this line and Mindwipe looks good as well, but i switch Mindwipe from classics to ROTF and back again from time to time.
As much as i don't really like to buy repaints unless they really catch my eye or a new head mold that gets my attention, but Banzaitron and his colors is really growing on me and im thinking of using ROTF Bludgeon for classics line and using Banzaitron for like a Shadow warrior Bludgeon or Stealth Bludgeon, since this this repaint he really doesn't represent Banzaitron in is true form.

Bludgeon is a win and Mindwipe is also a win for classics line.

He certainly works better than Classics Galvatron, and I put him practically next to Bludgeon. Also I highly doubt he'll make it to the movies as well. Then again, it really is a matter of opinion and taste. So, if your desire to have a G1 rep for Bludgeon is greater than the effect of discrepancies between toy lines, then he fits. That's what worked for me. Also, I as much as I enjoy the movies, the year after the movies is when Hasbro and TarkaraTomy goes crazies with toys for us older fans.

I have the RotF Bludgeon, but I have my older custom one too. (from the Cyb Unicron)
I actually prefer the custom, but the retail one is pretty decent.
I have noticed though, a lot of my shelf has been morphing from the Cybertron aesthetic to the off-screen movie aesthetic (which I feel is very different/better from the on-screen movie characters). Classics/Universe 2.0/Generations bridges the gap.

Don't forget the deluxe Deadend. I have him with my Season 1 + 2 Classic/Neo Cons. He actually fits in, in my opinion.

I use Cybertron Uni as well.
