Wal-Mart WFC/Generations availability?

Are the WFC and Generations lines availableat Wal-mart or any other stores, besides ToysRUs, for that matter?

I've checked WM for the past two weeks and they still have ROTF stuff.

I don't think they have shown up anywhere but TRU yet. Walmart usually probably has to go through a reset of their planogram before they stock these new lines. Plus they still have tons of Tuner Mudflaps to go through as well as other Rotf stock. I went to one walmart yesterday and I kid you not the deluxe pegs were FULL of nothing but Tuner Mudflaps. There had to be at least 50 there.

Yep, TRU only so far, not even Target has them(all my nearby Targets have like a single Mudflap and NOTHING else, just empty shelves, too). This fact is ticking me off, mostly because they restocked this morning at mine and received everything EXCEPT Generations and the PCC 5-packs(basically, everything but what I was looking for today).

The WFC and Generations are all gone from TRU near me, none of them left

Most 5 pack PCC are almost gone as well.

The new ROTF whatever its called are on the shelves now with blank spots where the Generations/WFC stuff should be.

So apparently the first helping blew out of TRU stores

No luck finding any in WalMart or Target near me as of yet

They are on the next planogram for Target, meaning the Fall reset, which occurs in September, October and November.

You may see them at the end of the Summer reset, which is highly likely, but you won't see them out in full force until the Fall reset.

TRU was apparently given a head start like they had before with the Cybertron like back in '05.

People from TFW2005 are seeing these guys at Kmarts, which apparently did their reset already, and Kohl's. Kohl's should be good since I got my Drift figure there today.

Don't count on Kohl's as a definite possibility. I went to one yesterday morning looking for the new TFs. Their action figure area was almost non-existent, with only Bakugans and Pixar's Cars figurines to show it existed, and even then, most of what they had was lying on the bottom shelf in an disorganized pile. >_<;;;

I'll have to go check K-Mart later today, but going by my past experiences with K-Mart, I would not be surprised if they still had ROTF and Animated toys littering the pegs and shelves.

TRUs have been the only place with new stuff, and even then, the ones I want sell out quick while the rest lingers. Last week, I went to the TRU in Durham, NC that had 4 CybOPs and 4 CybBBs, but no Drifts or Thrusts, yesterday I went back and all eight were gone(2 of which I bought) while HFTD, PCCs, Legends, and Activators continued to linger on the shelf. And another TRU (the one in Cary, NC that I visit more frequently), last week only had 3 HFTD TFs and some Activators, but this week had full stockings on all the new lines *BUT* Generations. >_<;;; And no, there wasn't even any space there on the pegs or shelving that said "Yes, we had Generation, but nah-nah, you were too late!".

I can't say I'm surprised that Generations, the line everyone is waiting on and wants to buy, is short- or out-of-stocked while the rest of the crap that very few people seem to want (well, I guess the PCCs aren't all crap, as I did buy and do like the Combaticon set and there are a few others I want, and also bought SeaSpray, but we all know that he fits in better with Generations than with HFTD) is filling the shelfs to the brim and not moving as fast.

If only Target and Wal-mart weren't stuffed to the gills with regular and Tuner Mudflaps, Stalker Scorponok, NEST battle packs, Desert Tracker Ratchets, Demolishers and Stratospheres that nobody wants, they'd probably be breaking out the new stuff. Oh, if only to be a fly on the wall when the Hasbro execs decide which toys to repaint what way and how many to make. :BANG_HEAD: Honestly, who thought repainting Scorponok was a good idea? And Tuner Mudflap too?

Kohls carries toys?! I always thought they were just a clothing store.

I check Walmart at least once per week and I was at Toys 'R Us a few days ago. No sign of any Generations figures yet, unfortunately (here in Connecticut). I'm keeping an eye out for Drift and for everyone in Wave 2.

That was the only place I ever saw an Animated Cliffjumper.

The smaller ones have just clothes, jewelry, home and kitchen stuff. The larger ones carry toys as well. Another chain that's good for hunting is TJ Max, especially for older toys. That's where I got the Bumblespud Mr. Potato Head.

Stores like Kohl's and Meijer are often overlooked, but back in 2003/2004 they even had exclusives: Universe Ultra Magnus vs. Treadshot and Universe Smokescreen vs. Ransack.

You will pay more at stores like Kohls. The deluxes at my local Kohls run 14.99.

But, to be fair, Kohl's almost always has a sale (either 20% off, or buy one get one 50% off, etc).

I didn't see any Transformers at all at Kohl's today. I'm getting anxious to see Drift!

Until August, the generations figures are only supposed to show up in certian states and even then it should only be in TRU.
That's pretty much the jist of what the TRU employee I spoke with told me.

If they are showing up anywhere else, then it was probably a mistake.

Any idea if August is also the date for Wave 2 (WFC Soundwave and Megatron, Darkmount, Red Alert)?

He's incorrect on that. TRU is getting them first, yes, but it's not certain states, it's nationwide. Sightings are increasing as the days go by. Even K-Mart has started getting HFTD product. In fact, the very first sighting for HFTD anything, in the US, was at a K-Mart. A poster on TFW picked up Ironhide, Bumblebee and the ROTF harrier jet Thrust repaint (Wingblade, I think is his name) in a California K-Mart, about 1.5-2 weeks before they hit TRU.com and the stores.

I'm sure K-Mart getting a shipment that early was a fluke, like when Animated Voyager Bulkhead was released months before Botcon 2008, but even if TRU is getting them first, it's not just this state or that state, it's nationwide.

He did you a disservice by giving you incorrect information. He either did it out of ignorance and was just making a guess, or he was pulling it out of his rear, and either way, it's not smart.

retrothomas wrote:Any idea if August is also the date for Wave 2 (WFC Soundwave and Megatron, Darkmount, Red Alert)?

According to the tag on display at Botcon, it was supposed to be 7/1/2010, but we all know that date was never firm and most likely will be 8/1, or maybe even later.

I'd say you'll definitely see them by September.

joevill wrote:The three local Walmarts I been to still have ROTF and nothing more.

Wal-Mart's still in their Summer reset. They won't receive new TF waves until the Fall reset. (September, October, November) That way they have new stuff for the upcoming holiday season. You might see a few reports here and there at the end of August about sightings in Wal-Mart and Target, but it will definitely be closer to the end of this reset.

Kohl's! Yes, Kohl's. Almost forgot about that place. Visited it today, not as lucky as you to find Drift but found HFTD scout class. Got Hubcap and he is a nice figure especially the car mode. One of the tire needs alignment, though.

You.
Are.
Wasting.
Your.
Time.

As far as I know, K-Mart had one sighting. I don't think I've heard of any more. Scratch them off the list.

Wal-Mart? None of the new product is on the current planogram (Summer reset)
Target? Same as Wal-Mart.

They will be getting their's in the Fall reset. It's on the planogram.

TRU? Only retail, brick & mortar store in which you'll find these.
BBTS, and places like Digital-Toys, plus TRU.com are the only places you'll find these online.

Kohl's is releasing them, but only in small doses as evidenced by the sightings. Kohl's won't bring them out in full force, they haven't for a while now.

You're wasting your gas, your time, and wracking up miles on your car only to come home empty handed and a little lighter in the tank.

You'll save time, money, and peace of mind just ordering them over the internet.
