I really love that bonus beast mode, no matter what it is. Too bad his 3P version, MADLAW, can't do the same.

Just found out that the teeny tiny pegs on TR Fort Max which are used for Titan masters to stand on can also fit the Aerialbots that come with TR Broadside.

yeah no slag sherlock, I'm poking fun at his thing, since the pegs on the aircraft carrier most are from the premold of Alpha Trion

Back when :HASBRO: version of Titans Return Trypticon came out, we never knew about this other alt beast mode
IMG_20170826_071707.jpg

only after the info about the Legends version(which we know now is basically the same fig with no changes) images of the comic printed on the back of the instructions were released...& THEN we started to know about this other alt beast mode...which btw utilises that Godzilla head style tail section very well other than just opening up for storage for a Deluxe fig ect.

Turns a few collectors brains into mush thus having them exhibit symptoms of hyper religiosity and superiority

Not sure if really planned during the conception.

These years, Takara has shown in the comics lot of things that otherwise we would have called fanmodes.
It made them a little bit more official, but they still look like afterthoughts.

Scourge beast mode :

And probably some other I forgot..

So my Titans Return Overlord came today. I have been experimenting with a combined vehicle mode that looks decently like it isn't just the jet mode with the legs sticking out the back. I ended up coming up with the following (pics will come when I have time to upload them):

Transform the jet as normal. Then attach cannon to the top of the jet. Next, attach the robot mode legs. Fold the tank turret parts out like you do for transforming the tank into vehicle mode. Connect the turret pieces together (the waist piece won't be in there, but it will be secure enough). Finally, using the hip and knee articulation, fold the tank piece overtop of the jet, making the tank treads flush with the flat area of the jet. The barrel of the cannon should be sticking out.

Unfortunately, since the waist piece is where the cannon attaches, there isn't a way to put the cannon in a more prominent place. However, I think this mode combines the two vehicles in a more cohesive way.

I didn't even think of it that way! I just wanted something with a solid construction that looked fairly cohesive.

Energon Megatron from that mold was part of the TFCC's potential plans should they have continued on! Along with an armada Hot Shot and energon Jetfire I think?

Armada Jetfire out of Sentinel Prime/Astrotrain, with the Apeface head, the same one used for Skyfall. Pretty versatile little guy isn't he?

Not sure if this fit in this thread, but you can put CW HFG on sixshot to give him boxer mode.

Titans Return Soundwave features an aux port and several USB ports in the back of his boombox mode, fairly obvious, but a nice touch.

Can someone teach me how to combine the TR targetmaster trio of Misfire, Slugslinger and Triggerhappy into the jet mode?

May you wait about...30, 35 hours? I figured it out, but Slugslinger won't be delivered until tomorrow.
