I honestly love the buckler/arm guard gimmick, especially with the 5mm peg holes, it means customization is virtually limitless.

I think I may have discovered what storyline that weird Year Of The Goat ~ Platinum Edition: G2 Optimus Prime toy is based on.

In the old Dreamwave Armada-Energon Comic: Issue 17, there is an image where Optimus Prime is suddenly reformatted / upgraded by receiving the Matrix. During this process, Optimus displays exactly the same colours as his YOTG toy (ie: Transparent, Silver & Bronze w/ Yellow eyes). Obviously, I cannot be 100% for certain. But, the similarities are numerous. What do you think?

Thanks, triKlops. Glad to have finally figured out where this figure can potentially fit within the multiverse. :)

So, I just discovered that you can slot Computrons fists into his feet, not sure what purpose it serves, but...yeah.

Storage. Victorion's do the same thing, and the official storage spot is on Pyra Magna's ladder base.

I was hoping it was more than that, but half thought it might be as I played with scattershot a bit more. Thanks for the quick reply.:)

Everybody knows Grimlock is the torso of Volcanicus...

And I saw one pic online where they left the T-Rex head facing forward instead which looked pretty badass...

But if you open the mouth, which looks marginally more badass...

You find a slot to stick a Prime Master in the chest, in the freaking T-Rex Jaws.

Volcanicus wins best power-up port award.

Oh god, you've inspired all manner of stupid-looking shenanigans. I'll take pictures tomorrow, though. It's late over here.

Anyone else feel the POTP Darkwing combination is a little underwhelming? It's great Hasbro engineered it, but it's only held together by one little tab, and the wings don't even clip together. With a few adjustments though(and the addition of engine things), you get this:

Combined 2.JPG

It's technically less G1 accurate, but it looks so much more powerful to me. The Prime Master covers/guns can also be used to cover up Blackwing's exposed hands if you so wish, but I prefer them up top.

Bottom detail:

Blackwing's shoulders clamped around the base of Dreadwind's ankles provide an extra layer of stability(even if it is only through friction).

It may not be as streamlined, but I think it works better!! Good job @Duke of Luns!

This is more 'something I think my transformer might be able to do'...

I was looking at my TR Skyshadow today and noticed a pin at the base of the black oa el which forms his lower abdomen/bottom rear of jet mode. It looks as though the black panel should swivel (the pin is identical to every other pin joint eg the wrists) but it does not appear to do so.

Anyone know if indeed this is a moving part, or if it is part of the pretool for Overlord or similar?

Obviously if it does indeed move, then this will be something I never knew my transformer could do...!

It may just be for assembly and that's it.

I found a great weapon use for Power of the Primes Metalhawk's gun. I away thought classics 2-Pack deluxe prime had a ugly machine gun.

The is a small ridge underneath the weapon, it continues just after the handle
Image

and has enough clearance to add this type of lego peg piece
Image

you connect the tiny slit-gap in the peg on the top of the shorter end...and onto the ridge under the gun and use the other longer end to attach it to prime's fist slot.
I don't know the exact type of 5mm diameter size for his fist compared to lego which is 4.8mm and just snug enough. But sadly movie figures seem to be slightly too big, i think movie figures are close to 5.1 mm or the 5mm is too smooth on movie figures.

my result which i think looks much better on him ;)^
