Forgive me if this is old news or if I am misinformed, but I was browsing Big Bad Toy Store and I came across this.

Human Alliance Sideswipe with Mikaela. Now in the ROTF line Mikaela came with Skids and Sideswipe had Epps. Is this is repack of sideswipe with Mikaela? Or is this a differently painted Mikaela and Sideswipe?

maybe its typo but it would be intersting to see in package if its true

They showed it off at BotCon (expect the public photos after SDCC). It's a dark gray or black repaint with a newly painted Mikaela. We didn't see robot mode pics.

Oh ok cool. Since they repainted Sam I kinda figured this was a repaint, but thanks for the confirmation. Here's hoping they add Mudflap to the third wave, cause I still can't find him anywhere.

I'm curious to see this fig... I hope I don't like it, or at least enough to buy it again, though.

I know I would never buy another HA Sideswipe. It really do think it has several positive points, but it has enough shortcomings that I will easily pass if there is a repaint of the mold.

I pretty much agree, but sometimes black repaints are just too tempting. And for all the shortcomings, Sideswipe has a fantastic alt mode. But I do hope it's a relatively easy pass...or I can hold off till it goes on super discount through Amazon or something.

I do have to agree that the alt mode alone is almost worth the price of admission. This is one figure that has the looks of a well appointed model car in alt mode and then you get a transformation and bot mode as a bonus. I fear that I could possibly have the same temptation with a black repaint of the Stingray Concept. I will fight through it though.
