at first i was impressed im combiner fan but as pictures kept leaking on & on i was turned of evneturaly has anyone bought these 5 packs are they better than energon, rid, combiners or better?

im not going to mention g1 combiners nothing can compare to them to me personaly

That entirely depends on what you want.

No, the limbs don't transform except into limb mode, which they do automatically.

Arms can be either right or left, and legs can be right or left, but arms cannot be legs and vice versa.

They are much quicker to set up than the Energon combiners, and don't have the cheesey "energon" feet and hands.

They are also much smaller - about the size of a small to mid-sized Voyager when all assembled.

Otherwise, right now there seems to be a MUCH bigger difference in quality between the two limb sets than between any two lines. The military vehicles are excellent, but the aircraft utterly blow chunks (except for the EWAC arm).

I just got Bombshock and it's as bad as I was expecting. The asymmetry of the arms doesn't bother as much as I thought, but the lack of elbows and floppy hands do. I did find a way of tweaking it to give him some kind of elbow. Instead of connecting Bombshock's forearm to the shoulder I turn in the other way and it gives him a Big-O look. If I can find a way to tighten those floppy hands I might actually start to like it.

I picked up the first wave so far, all five of 'em, and I'm enjoying them. Yeah in combined mode they have very little movement, but I love the way they look and I love they way they all can swap limbs and mini-cons.

I used to hate mini-cons because they didn't (for the most part) interact with the robots they came with. No gun mode or anything and when they linked up it just looked like a mini car or mini jet or whatever hanging off the side.

But with this line, you can do all kinds of cool things with the mini-cons, so I'll pick up most of the two packs. I'll pick up a few five packs along the way, but those I might skip a bit more, as the limbs are a bit lame, but thy look good if you don't wanna move them or play with them.

I keep hearing that Skyburst 5 pack is junk, but the Bombshock 5 pack is ALOT better. Personally gonna pass on these unless i can pick them up cheap, and then still need to think about it..

I just bought Skyburst, he's not so bad. He's actually pretty stable, even with his odd feet. I like how mechanical and alien he looks, esp. w/ one long, skinny, crooked arm and the other fat straight one. The commander bot is pretty weak, but the set looks and works great with Searchlight as the core and his mini-con as chest armor.

Bombshock is pretty good too, but he's a little wobbly even with his large flat feet. Looks great tho. I'm def. getting most if not all of these.

They suck.

There not bad I own both five packs, and all three two packs the only recommendation, I would make is if your going to get the arielbots then make sure you have the searchlight two pack because he makes a better body for them than them commander that comes with them.

And also remember that the combiner mode head for him looks like a Movieverse adaptation of Animated Ultra Magnus.
