Having read so many topics on this forum, I'd be really interested to hear on average how many Transformers you buy every month or in a year if you prefer (on average).

I just started collecting again 2 years ago and have spent way too much getting my hands on all G1 reissues and classics that are G1 accurate and masterpieces too.

So far this year I've bought

Henkei Wildrider, (not for the silly prices on Ebay at the moment but the same as P/CP is going for at the moment).
Universe Silverbolt,
Classics Dragstrip,
Universe Onslaught,
Gentei Dark Skyfire,
TFCC Dion,
TFCC Punch/Counterpunch,
Commemorative Seacons,

I've pre-ordered 2010 Unicron and am going to do the same with Predaking, Masterpiece Rodimus and Generations Blurr, Scourge, Jazz, Tracks and Grapple (and Sixshot if that rumour is true).

I also bought Fansproject Defender and intended to buy Impossible Toys Arcee but have found that the above list is already well over my planned budget for TFs this year so am going to forget Arcee and sell my boxed Defender on Ebay as getting into third party stuff as well is just going to cost way too much $ no matter how good it is (I don't think i could ever sell my City Commander though).

How about everyone else? How many TFs have you bought so far in 2010 and what do you plan to buy in the second half?

Far too many, this year is probably anywhere between 70-100, though alot of it was getting Energon/Cybertron figs that I had missed out on. Now that I'm done collecting past Transformers, aside from a couple Beast Wars figs, I hope to see that number decrease.

haven't bought many TFs for the last few years, mostly down to money reasons, but there's also the hassle of finding the damn things. I got loads in the latter days of Armada and early Energon. This year I've only bought Henkei Megatron, but will definitely buy MP Grimlock when I see him in the shops.

I'd say I buy about 20 a year throughout various methods (yard sales, in stores, online and eBay) but I would say it's 75% for the kids and 25% for me.

I get 2-10 in any given month, depending on release schedules, and probably average about 4-5. So about 48-60 a year.

Since I have moved back to NC, I have collected so much and got rid of very little. This year will be about 60 not including duplicates.

Depends on what is re issued.

What else is going on in life.

I really only care about G1 or real G1 homage type stuff, so its all over the map.

This year I spent quite a lot, but had to wait until after the house closed and I got into it.

Also had my son born a week before I closed on the house too lol I been a little busy and was socking everything away for those reasons obviously.

Still found Drift and Thrust, pre ordered Seacon and dropped the hammer at robotkingdom for all the stuff I put off while super saving to finalize house and new kid

oh yeah and I will be ordering the Predacons as well, not gonna miss this reissue

I can't decide at present whether to open ROTF Lockdown or take it back and swap it for a bottle of whiskey. I know I want most of the Generations deluxes but will I find them? No-one knows...

Whisky will cause an interesting night, but Lockdown will stay on your shelves forever...

Seriously, I live within spitting distance of Hasbro's UK distribution centre and there's barely anything on the shelves for miles around. I buy the figures I like when I see them, sadly I don't see all the figures I like and often have to settle for 'maybes' just to quell the craving. Woe is me.

2000-2006 -> 8
2007 -> 9
2008 -> 0
2009 -> 15
2010 (so far) -> 3

2000-2010 Total ~= 35 (is that a lot?)

Of course, the numbers would've been significantly higher... okay, maybe double... had I even had an idea that the Classics line even existed, or Universe for that matter.

Yeah, I've pretty much all but given up on the stores near me too. So far this year I've purchased about 10. Most likely by the end of the year though that will double, Generations and Animated are too enticing atm

I think that if I kept my purchasing to stores only, I'd've gotten a lot less. But buying online is much easier and quicker.

There's only one street closer to Hasbro than the street I hate having to live in. Am I not doing something I should be doing? If I can get enough of you behind my warped campaign I'll gladly storm the fort. Lot's of Eddie Stobart's lorries out there mind...
I can also confirm the Skystalker availability in Tesco, no sign of Mindwipe anywhere though.

I got back into collecting when the first wave of classics came out before the first movie and I now have around a thousand. You do the math...............................................I'm afraid to.

Edit: I started out with a whopping three.

Too many. I can't wait for the movie lines to be done after TF 3 so I can resume my Prime/Meg only rule.

Way to many. My problem is, I keep too much. I have so amny figures which i really don't care for. But I like to complete the line. I'm trying to get into the habit of collecting a line, selling the bad/just ok figures, and keeping to best. That being said, I still have scads of ROTF and Classics I want to sell before I buy any generation, or Prime toys...luckily there is no word of them yet!

Too many to count. I am fortunate enough that my current disposable income has made it possible to buy some of the rare and expensive TF's. This means that I'm catching up big time on the older TF's I always wanted. This year alone I've bought G1 Sludge, G1 Snarl, G1 Whirl, G1 Metroplex reissue, Sixshot reissue, G1 Overlord, G1/G2 Clench, G1 Doublecross, G1 Mindwipe, TFC Megatron, TFC Ricochet, TFC Tracks, Noisemaze MPT and Brave Maximus, to name some of the more interesting ones. And I also bought the Botcon box sets for 2005, 2009 and 2010.

The only TF's I've cut back on are the recent releases: distribution here in Europe has become poor to non-existent anyhow, so it would mean importing them. The newest TF's I bought this year were RotF Breakdown and RotF Voyager Bludgeon, and right now I have no desire to buy any of the newer releases, except for Brimstone and Hubcap IF I can even find them at retail.

A couple hundred. All US releases plus some Japanese and Vintage backfilling.

More than I can think of offhand. I can say for sure that it's definitely less than a lot of people around here, but I know if I added up the actual numbers, it would probably make me depressed thinking about how much I spent.

It's getting better...but I don't know how many.
