The King is back on TRU.com as a placeholder. Sadly, he is out of stock. They also mention for some reason, he retails for $99.99 and their special price is just 59.99 even though they are the only ones carrying him and hasbro told us the MSRP was $59.99.

I also mentioned the same thing in this thread earlier in the day wondering if I missed it since it was first listed as "Out of Stock", then TRU changed the status to "back-ordered" and added the "add to cart" option late last night or in my case really early in the morning.

Ive never bought any figures online. I wonder why anyone would order a figure that is going to be sold in retail ??? Theyre will probally be tons of them lying around like the recent Unicron re-issue.

Because

1) Not Everyone lives close to retail
2) Online can get things faster
3) Some people only buy online
4) Avoids Scalpers
5) There won't probably be tons of them lying around like Universe Unicron because this is a figure most people in North America don't have yet.

pre-ordered mine as soon as I found out here that it was available at TRU.com, but have been checking the link just to see how long before the figure sells out...& what do you know, the link is not active anymore...that didn't take long for TRU to take it down, Thank Primus for pre-orders! :KREMZEEK:

I ordered mine yesterday morning and now the link is gone but my order is still there and active and I've been charged for it I hope TRU isn't just screwing the pooch here bc I would go insane :KREMZEEK:

How did you get charged for this when TRU claims they only charge your order when it ships (much like many pre-orders on other sites like BBTS) :-?

That is what I would like to know I checked the order status and it is showing Item(s) on hold until release date: 07 / 20 / 10

I guess that means it actually came out yesterday and should be shipping anytime now but with TRU track record (at least from my experience as a consumer and former employee) I wouldn't be surprised if they have no idea what they are actual talking about

Ok I looked at the order status' and it is saying that what that means is it is on hold from the date ordered until the ship date my bad

I've been charged for the ones I ordered as well. I think some companies like TRU and HTS will place a charge authorization on your credit card to see if the buyer has the funds available. In most cases the authorization will drop off in a few days and they will charge you when the item ships.
