hello sondave1994 here and i am going to start a weekly review of a figure that i own nothing special just a little review
this week is my first review so i shall do 2 figures not one
the figures i am reviewing i bought only today from a loca steam fair where classic cars and vehicles are shown i found these two at the reasonable price of 13 pounds one was r.i.d. autobt spychanger super x brawn http://www.transformertoys.co.uk/content.php?/transformers-toys/toy-gallery/632/Robots+in+Disguise/Spychanger+X-Brawn.htmlthis but a race car paint job and the other i shall reveal later

x-brawn is a very nice figure especially in his alt mode he is a Mercedes-Benz ML320 SUV in his alt mode and has paint apps that are reminiscent of wheeljack he has decent articulation in this mode especially for a car with opening doors and hood which reveals a nice gold chrome engine inside the doors however show off kibble he has some nice chrome pats here such as the bumper and steps below the door all 3 become weapons in robot mode also the gold chrome is on the wheels too a nice little touch

the robot is also very nice e retains his mainly white colour scheme but adding a fair amount of metallic green too in this mode he ha extremely good posability.two points at the knee, one at the hip on each leg no waist :( his right arm has full articlation and his left has a fair amount, shoulder is limited due to the door and his elbow is the same, his hand also has a ball joint and an articulated thumb
over all a very nice figure he was mib when i got him it was open but it still had the original 9 year old rubber band things and cable ties with him on the plastic i give him a 9/10

number two was the takara wst thrust misb i saw this and knew i had to have it, he was cheap at 5 pounds and i opened him as soon as i got home i was really surprised to see the amount of detail he has especially at his size the paint apps are truely beautiful for his size he came with four accessories his hands and his guns as a robot he stnds little over6 cm tall and as i said before he has so much detail for his size is eyes are even painted on i would reccomend him to every one he is a beautiful little itty bitty seeker and should you find one buy it 10 / 10 for the diddy thrust

thanks for taking the time to read my reviews and there will be one every sunday

Nice review, however I'm a bit confused. You say Spychanger X-Brawn in a Racing deco and mention he was chrome engine and weapons.

Spychanger X-Brawn as far as I'm aware was never repainted into a race deco, and had no chrome and no opening hood that I'm aware. Spychangers are small about the size of a Hotwheel's car.

What you are describing sounds like Deluxe Super X-Brawn. A Repaint of Deluxe X-Brawn. Larger Vehicles with the opening hood, and the chrome weapons and engine.

Its o.k. It does remind me though, that I've been meaning to get an Super X-Brawn. Its one of 4 toys I need to complete the new molds for the R.I.D Autobot side. Which by the way the Autobots were the only ones to actually get new figures in R.I.D. Except for Megatron the Decepticons/Predacons in R.I.D are all repaints of older toys. Mostly BeastWars, some Machine Wars.

And some G1/G2 as well. Black Convoy aka Scourge, Axer vs. Sideways, Dreadwing & Smokejumper, the first 6 Spychangers, they were all G2. Baldigus aka Ruination was G1.

Yup. G1,G2 also.

I was hoping Hasbro would commemorate their 10th Anniversary of R.I.D with some re-issues, but I guess they are busy with lots of other stuff at the moment.

So they leave it to Fun Publications, the Collectors' Club and BotCons. We already have Sky-Byte, and we'll be getting Side Burn soon, made from Classics Rodimus.

I know, but 2 figures at different venues do not a commemorative series make.

I was hoping for something a little less exclusive. More along the lines of 10th Anniversary BeastWars. Which where available at general retail back in the day.

Still Side-Burn from Rodimus should be interesting to see.

So why have you linked it to a gallery of a different toy?

Also, I hope you don't mind a little constructive criticism, but please try some punctuation. It's very difficult to read what you have written and that will put people off. In my opinion too many full stops is better than none! Also, if you could provide a picture or two of everything you review it would be helpful.

Same gripe I always have with this type of thing. Do have the figures in hand when doing reviews and know your stuff! I don't want to come off like a jerk but I would stick to things you own and know best the history of. Otherwise, keep it up! It always interesting to see B-listers get their 15 minutes. I just had this guy in hand this evening as I put him into a storage bin. Heh, gotta make room for new stuff. Hope I didn't sound too negative, just trying to help out a little. :)

You're forgetting the Autobot Combiners:

Rail Racer: 3 Bots
Landfill: 4 Bots

I love these threads. I enjoy reading about the figures you guys collect amd what you like about them. I only collect G1 stuff, so these threads give me plenty of insight.

I like the Wheeljack-esque paintjob on X-brawn. If only they would make a Classics Wheeljack...

I stated before that a RiD reissue of the Autobot Brothers (Side Burn, Prowl, X-Brawn) is impossible, thanks to mold degradation beyond viable use. X-Brawn was already showing signs with its Universe Autobot Ratchet release.

1. All I said was I'm missing 4.
2. There were actually 13 new molds made for R.I.D. 3 Car Brothers: Side Burn, Prowl, X-Brawn; 3 Trains: Railspike, Midnight Express, Rapid Run; 4 Build Team Members: Grimlock, Hightower, Wedge, Heavy Load; 2 Autobot Leaders: Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus. 1 Predacon Leader: Megatron.

Of Which I'm only missing the Train team, and Super X-Brawn.

I'm not surprised. with the amount of times the car brothers were repainted, there as bound to be degradation. side-burn got Botcon exclusives, Japan clear exclusives.

Prowl got that, plus extra universe repaints.

X-Brawn was the the only one AFAIK that did not get Convention repaints. Sad to see he's just as degraded.

Still that leaves the Trains which were never used again.

Prime and Magnus which got a couple of re-relases down the line.
Landfill, which did get 2 repaints if I'm not mistaken. Yellow, and Devastator Green and purple.

and Megatron/Galvatron which only got a re-tool into Botcon Deathsaurus.

None of those can be re-released?

The state of the rest of the molds I don't know about. I'd really like these toys though:

- Baldigus (Japanese anime accurate Ruination) or Arctic/Urban camo
- Black Convoy (Japanese)
- Landfill and it's Constructicon repaint
- Devil Gigatron or Galvatron

And most of the line boosting repaints :P
