Ok which of these 2 Primes is the best overall figure? Does the standard(?), not the Leader class one, stand up as well as the Leader class Optimus?

They're both excellent figures. Robo-vision Prime is probably the best bang for your buck, but I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Leader Prime, either.
If you can afford it, I'd say get both. They have completely different approaches, so much so that they both merit the purchase. If you must get one, I'd say get Robo-vision Prime, he's more movie-accurate and will be much harder to find in the long run.

I prefer the Voyager Class Prime, easy to transform, and resembles the movie design in both robot and truck mode better then Leader Class

Leader Class all the way. When you look at the actual toys in your hand side by side, Voyager Prime just looks like a cheap piece of crap. The paint apps, transformation, overall size and electronics really make the Leader Version far better. However. If you want something to a lesser price and still be able to call it Optimus Prime, Voyager Prime is a good figure. I just dislike the lack of posability on it compared to the Leader version...Oh how I love feet that can actually sit flat on a surface.

Being in the UK, we are yet to find out what these two Primes are actually like. However from looking at the galleries i'm having a hard time choosing.
I want my Autobots to be to scale with each other and be well articulated, so i would consider Leader class prime...but i'm just not loving those chunky things on the back of its legs. Plus it makes Prime look fat.
But Robo-Vision Prime just seems more like movie Prime...yet has a massive backpack...see what i mean?
Its really hard to decide!

When standing straight Leader Primes legs are actually very streamlined. The rear wheels actually snap into his thighs and they sit straight. It's when you get him in some lower poses where you end up having to pop them out and use the joint in between the wheels. He is in scale with the other Autobots though. When you actually hold the figure in your hand that whole bulky look goes away. You know how they say the camera adds 10 pounds? In Primes case it's about 200. Everything is pretty proportionate.

Cool, thanks for that man. You've helped me decide, Leader it is! Or maybe both ;P

I've got both, each one is better and more accurate in some areas. Compare both with an image from one of the trailer screen captures and you'll see what I mean.

both figures but if i had to tell someone if they only had enough money to buy i go with robovision leader class prime does have more detail and the windows look more realistic looking comparied to but the paint job on robo vision prime looks more officail looking to the real version prime in the film thats the best choice if your the type of person who likes detail.

robo-vision?

I take it that it's the same as voyager class right? Well here's what I should have asked as well: which one resembles what we see in the movie the most accurate?

Yeah, it's the Target Exclusive version of Voyager Prime, with a better paint job.

Indeed.
Voyager Prime is the 'poor-man's' prime also known as 'How to get your child (who doesn't know any better) an Optimus Prime without spending $40 out of the welfare check-Prime'
Oh yea, I said it. I'm harsh.
Like Judd Nelson...
in The Breakfast Club.

I tell you, you are all wrong.....
Optimash Prime is the best. Once I picked him outta the box I couldn't put him down. I have the leader, FAB, and the robo-vision versions as well, but Optimash is by far the most fun. Interchangeable parts, articulation (his arms move), and play value, as well his price point-$10.00 US. You can't beat that. I even bought my daughter one, its funny and great.
"But, to each his own."

I got the Leader Class on Saturday, and I just bought the RV Voyager today.
There are a few reasons I think the Leader Class is better, but I do really like the Voyager Class as well.
1) The leader class FEELS like a better figure. It's got some real heft to it compared to the Voyager.
2) The articulation is about 10x more than the Voyager Class. The hands are really close to that on the MP Prime.
3) Rubber Tires.
4) Doesn't have the entire front end of the truck hanging on it's back like the Voyager Class.
If you can only get one, I suggest the Leader Class.
However, if you CAN afford both, they are different enough to have both of them.

The silver on Robo-vision Prime looks so good. Why couldn't they do that for the leader class?

Finally opened and transformed my leader class Prime and I'm really impressed with the transformation. It's intricate yet not frustrating.

If you want an awesome figure, that ranks up there with the best Transformers ever made, buy Leader Class Prime.
If you want to flush 25 bucks down the toliet for no good reason, but not actually flush 'em, buy "robo-vision" Prime. I actually think its worse than energon Prime.

Oh, come now. That's a bit of an exaggeration, don't you think?

Well, Energon Prime has more posability, sound effects, the ability to combine in several different ways, and 100% less kibble.

Well, you are right. I compared it to poop, and that is highly insulting to poop.
