I was sold this frenzy toy about 10 years ago by a UK dealer called Paul Hitchins(otherwise known as the Spacebridge).

When he sold me it he claimed it was a hasbro prototype.

When i got the big cassette mission 3 box set i compaired the two and differences are quiet noticable

from the back the BCM3 one has an extra screw( show on the left where my old one has a black dot.

Also the paint job is far more detailed on my old version.

when its turned round theres even more differences as the rub signs on his stomach. All the Chrom is silver instead of bronze/gold. Also there was silver paint apps on his arms where the stickers would be he has red eyes.

He also has plastic feet which is odd.

Paul does deal in prototype transformers and owns the only known copy in fans hands of the 1987 TF bible(yes the one used for the DVDs to show the extra scenes).

Do you guys think this is real or have I been duped?

Appologies for the poor quality photos I dont own a high res camera.

I'm going out on a limb by saying yup you were duped. What you got is not a proto type but a variant that had plastic feet,no labels on his shins. Why do I say so? I use to own one. Btw, it also didn't come with a rub symbol. It came packed with Ratbat(which had the rub symbol) and came with a special offer for Reflector.

Have a look here for more info on cassette variants.

You'll need to scroll about a third of the way down :-)
