Since hasbro is releasing this, does it mean that takara should also release piranacon soon? But a proper version, because the hasbro version is "commemorative" and it seems that the colours are different.

Speculation, maybe. Hopefully some QC will be addressed. But we have nothing to look at as example but the Masterpiece Takara Starcream USA edition.

Takara release Hasbro toys, with a "USA Edition" sticker on the box. However that does not mean the toys themselves are identical.

Potentially Takara could do this with the Seacons and change the paint apps.

If Takara does their own version of the Seacons, then i will have 2 of him and the Takara version will be tucked away and never to be see again, except on milk cartons as MIA.

Personally I would be more tempted by a Takara one if they did it in Encore/G1 style packaging, a USA-Edition wouldn't hold any interest for me.

If TTomy released the Seacons in their original colors, they'll get my money. Otherwise, I'll pass, e.g. BBTS Snaptrap w/ green head.

You could always find a junker Snaptrap and swap the heads over?
