Metroplex combination with scramble city combiner leaders?

Right, so I have just learnt that all the scramble city combiner leaders (E.G Onslaught, Silverbolt, Hun-Grr etc) had an apparent 3rd base mode which could attach to metroplex in some way. Does anybody have any confirmation of this? Any pictures? Thanks.

As I explained before, just the first four. Here's a page with an image that shows the combo:

Metroplex on Cobra Island Toys

Other members have made image their own combo. Hang on while I get Counterpunch...

They can also combine with the Decepticon's own base: Trypticon.

This, of course takes us back to the thread that spawned this one when I say "wow, it never occurred to me in all this time that that's what those sockets on MP's shins and shoulders are for!"
Ya stick the Aerialbots to 'em!
Sweet.

They're actually for attaching his weapons to. See pic of rolling battle thingy where the black guns are attached to the shoulder sockets.

I've just realised that the holes are round but the Aerialbot's heads are square. Just a coincidence that they fit.

Better check your figure again, especially on the inside. I pulled out my Encore Metroplex out of his box and the holes on his shoulders are square, while the ones on the knees are round. However, the claps on the inside are laid in a square pattern, meaning the smaller figures were meant to attach to those places by design.

They're not coincidence. It is part of the design. The original Hasbro and Takara instruction sheet showed the Aerialbots attached onto Metroplex. The sheet labels it as Super Strong Metroplex. I believe the Encore Metroplex instruction sheet left this section out - too lazy to look for the Encore Metroplex instruction sheet.

Yes indeed they are, but up till now that's ALL I thought they were for. An interesting configuration to be sure.
