Hey,
Just wondering, is the animated arcee hard to come by? I really don't collect animated toys but she seems to be worth the price. I see her going online for a range of prices? What is reasonable and can I find her by venturing out to a few toy stores?

Animated Arcee is a TRU exclusive here in the states, and she can be very hard to come by.
However, it seems that she is begining to become much easier to find on shelves for retail price. If you're patient, and have a TRU nearby, there's no need to pay scalper's prices. Also don't forget TRU's website.

I believe TRU.com clearanced her out pretty cheap a week or two ago.

Ugh!! Too bad I missed it! My local TRU never has it, although the local scalper has a ton of them. I wasn't going to get Arcee, but I absolutely love her character in War for Cybertron. Should have paid more attention.

I picked her up at my local TRU this past Thursday because when i was at Botcon, I actually was able to fiddle with one in hand. I was actually impressed with her design and decided to pick her up. Thanks to a tip from a local collector, I was able to get one at TRU and not through Evilbay. I'm hoping that someone will make a new head for her, only because it is still very animated looking. Not bad, but I'm hoping for a more G1 looking head soon. If not, I'm still very happy with my very first Animated purchase. Yeup. She's my first and only Animated figure.

You should consider this the ball rolling, and that you must now see it through to the completed end of collecting all ANIMATED figures U.S. and Japanese!
I find her still rather hard to come by, and feel lucky to have found mine. The Japanese release is a tad better in paint apps., minus some odd brown belly/abs.

i got a couple of this figure, one of which i repainted in G1 colors for my fledgling Neo G1 display. i really could see Hasbro doing a similar repaint (hopfully with a new head mold) for Generations.

She was nearly impossible to find for me for the longest time until I was able able to snag the last one a few weeks ago. I was back at TRU again and the pegs were restocked with her and Ratchet, so it seems she has gotten easier to find recently. Some regular visits to TRU should net you an Arcee.

Hahaha!! I don't know if I'm gonna pick up anymore. Few reason. I'm waaaay late into it, I don't have room for a new line, and I don't want to pay after market prices for a whoooole new line. Honestly, I was alway impressed with Animated. My biggest reason was that I didn't want another line to collect. Proably why I might not get MP Rodimus. I need to start streamlining what I'm buying. Buuuut...I think I will get the blue Japanese repaint of the Animated Arcee figure. I just really dig it. Oh, and when the club releases it's Transtech Cheetor. So there are some more on the horizon for me.

I too feel the same way but you have to buy lockdown as well, man i wish our toys when we were kids had this much accuracy and articulation, kidz are so spoiled today. Mind you the cartoon and the g1 toys were no it collusion like the animated line in many terms .

Japanese market is deep in it, you're not after the fact at all! In fact, some of the 1st wave are going on sale, right now!
Sounds to me like you are going to be collecting more Animated... Cause you need to have the original version of Transtech Cheetor (Blurr) too.

Yeah it was around mid July, she was $5.98 and also it was during the bogo 50% off.
