Masterpiece Grimlock Pre-Order..Cancelation Date!!

I just recieved email from toys r us and this is what it says... first part states sorry about delay we won't charge your card until it's shipped yada yada... then
under 30 day return policy:
If the item(s) is not shipped by 8-27-10 the item will be automatically cancelled and your credit card will not be charged, and/or your money will be refunded. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this delay.

So... if this bad boy doesn't hit by August 27th they're canceling my order. hmmm. ... i'm starting to be fed up with Toysrus as of late. Takes a lot to get me going. But if I end up not finding this toy for 50 to 60 bucks by late september. I won't be able to get it.

Don't worry about it, MP Grimlock was made first available at the SDCC, which was a few days ago, and should be hitting retail in a moment's notice..

Got the same email this morning. I hope they stock up soon. I've been stalking the toys r us customer service desk since before july for MP Grimlock to the point where when they do see me pop in occasionally they say, "Sir, we don't have MP Grimlock yet, would you like me to check the computers again?"
Technically this is my first pre-order and I don't want it canceled. I am really looking forward to getting this figure without days and hours of hunting and wasting fuel.

Same here got the same email this morning. I wonder if the people that ordered their's at the $69.99 price got the same email? or if they're getting their's shipped first? Hmm....

Mine was 59.99 + free shipping. I think it got bumped up to 64.99 and then went out of stock. Then got bumped to 69.99 but nothing in stock. I believe someone in the other thread who bought it for more than 59.99 said they received an email from toys r us saying that their order was canceled.

I think we should freak out as much as possible, as often as possible until MP Grimlock is choking TRU aisles with the same ruthless efficiency every other TRU toy/reissue has managed to accomplish since the 2003 Commemerative Reissues.
This will be a good way of distracting us all collectively from talking to other fans and making arrangements to ensure that the backwater, po-dunk communities we live in out in Shotgun Falls USA is able to get a hold of this toy, even if it means asking someone else to politely mail one to you at cost.

Reissue Percepter & Insecticons didn't exactly clog shelves! Well, that's not true, Perceptor kinda did. Okay, fine, you win!

My local TRU still has Perceptor and the Insecticons on the shelves and in fact i saw 5 of Perceptor and 4 of the Insecticon, not the most fast moving items out there and I'm sure after MP Grimmy comes out the hype will go down and he will be setting on TRU's shelf this time next year and he will mark down to $29.99!

Both did here... The only thing that hasn't really was Arcee. Even after the hysteria died down, they still weren't lasting more than a week or so on the pegs before being scooped up.

hey at least they didn't cancel your order yet. They've cancelled my order twice now. For no apparent reason. It's just gone. I call and they can't really explain other than to give a canned answer.

Mine was cancelled without any notification by TRU, when I asked them, they said it is because my credit card is international and they couldn't verify my address, dude, I live in Costa Rica and I import these things through a forwarder in Miami, lame customer service! I'm not having these kind of problems with hasbro itself, they should have sell MP Grimlock directly

Ha ha ha, there actually is a "Shotgun Creek" about a mile away from me as the crow flies. You know, I could have SWORN I saw an MP Grimlock at my local TRU last time I was there, but I didn't pay attention to him because I'm not really interested unless he comes with his waiter apron and bowtie. Of course I'd just donated blood and it was 95 degrees in the store so maybe it was a hallucination.

I also received the same e-mail this morning. When I got to the part where it says "Your order will be canceled if not filled by 8/27/10," I figured it was an scam by TRU to cancel the orders where MP Grimmy sold for $49.99 ($59.99 - discount).

Yeah - the Takara releases' accessories made sense - the Marvel-verse crown for the Marvel-colored figure, the cartoon drink tray/waiter outfit for the cartoon colored version. But Hasbro's release just has the Marvel accessories with the cartoon version.

That very message had my order (not preorder) sitting in limbo for the Overkill repaint of Classics Grimlock for almost a year. I finally cancelled the order with them and bought one off of ebay.
