Ok, now that is out the way, hopefully the real price isn't that steep. Right now, I can't comment much until we see some pics of the prototype.

Pre-ordered! I know I was complaining in the other thread about my lack of enthusiasm toward an MP Rodimus, but it's not like I'm going to miss out on the next MP mold!

I didn't even bother reading anything past the link until I ordered. Done, I'm there. Pricing will most likely be that ballpark or a bit cheaper.

As much as I would love to pre-order this, I think I'm going to have to wait and see what it looks like before I shell out that kind of cash. Plus with my "rule" about not having two of the same characters of the shelf, it be a shame to make a purchase for that much, just to decide I would like to display the Protector Upgrade Armor as my Rodimus Prime. Time will tell.

Eh, as excited as I am for this I am going to have to wait for Hasbro this time and get it 1/2 to 1/3 cheaper.

Yeah, no kidding. I can't shell out $200 bucks on one fig, even if it is Rodimus. Hopefully Hasbro will release him around next summer.

In another thread this was the MP figure I wished for most, however I'll have to be patient and hope it come to u.s. retail soon.

I put in a pre-order as a place holder, but I'm thinking I'll be canceling. Either to order from RobotKingdom and save $30 or $40, or just wait for the Hasbro version. The Takara Grimlock is still readily available so it seems it's nothing ya gotta jump on quick. Waiting's the only tough part...especially if it ends up looking super awesome.

I've never owned a high end Mp figure before..I don't really count MP skywarp since he was only $30 at wal mart..Rodimus has always been my favorite character and I think this would look great in my collection..Now for that Shattered glass Rodimus ...........

Oh yeah, cos Grimlock came with a hefty price tag and he is huge.

I don't like the way the pricing on MP's is going. I preordered all 4 of my MP's but I am not sure about this one. I will wait until we see some pictures of an actual toy, or just wait for a Hasbro version.

More pics would = more convincing thoughts to buy it.

If that's an attempt at sarcasim, you can go back home and practice a little more before stepping up to swing with me. I'm not mad at you or anything, I just like to give helpful advice. I'm a giver, a real people person.

First off, the price for Rodimus is really undetermined. BBTS is guessing at it due to the size.

Second, Grimlock, even considering the guess at price of Rodimus, is 25% cheaper.

Third, Grimlock was developed and produced during the height of the oil gouging on the global market. Everything had its cost increased if it containg plastic at that time.

I don't know CP, I thought the Grimlock comment was pretty good.

The oil gouging thing is pretty accurate. Grimlock did come out when petro products were at peak price, which affected those products at that time. However I don't think we are going to see the prices go back down any. While Rodimus might not end up being $200, you can bet that it won't be cheaper than $150. If it is larger/more complex than Grimlock I think we can expect it to be north of $175.

I completely agree with you. With Rodimus having a trailer he will surely be more expensive. I just hope that he is a larger figure, more on scale with Prime and Megatron not Starscream and Grimlock.

And I was just pointing out that I enjoyed his sarcasm. Maybe not quite your sarcasm level, but funny enough to warrant a good laugh.

Hmmm, a new MP figure of Rodimus. I think I'm getting burned out because it looks like an amazing piece and I DON'T have an urge to get it. I don't have amy MP figures up so that may have something to do with it. I'm already tight for space and I can't see me finding a spot just for MP figures right now...Grimmy is different because he is gonna go on my classics shelf.

Guess I should still put in a pre-order just incase and can always cancel later.

I wanted to dismantle my MP/Alt shelf, but now I want to keep them around till this comes out.

I suspect he will be on the large side with that trailer, not quite as big as MP04, but still pretty big.

Pre-ordered, but yeah, I hope it ends up cheaper than that.

Think I paid $250 for Sleep Convoy, and MP-04 (Prime with trailer), was around $225, I think.

To me the $200 price range seems about right.
