Bumblebee fix and replacement advice needed

I have had my classics bumblebee for a long time, but alas, all good things must come to an end.
Especialy when you're not careful where you sit stuff.

Anyway, my Classics Bumblebee's wind shield is broken.
Image
Don't ask me how, I'm not sure myself.

I do plan on fixing him by adding some sort of clay (or whatever you guys would recommend) down the center of his windshield. However I'm not sure what to use. And in doing so, he would no longer look so much like kid freindly Bumblebee. So I also intend to paint him into Cliffjumper, since I never bothered to pick him up.

On a different note. What am I going to do about a Classics Bumblebee?
I've been going back and forth on whether I like the Henkei version of BB or the three pack version.
Image
Henkei is more G1 and has a easy to open and keep box, 3-pack BB has the blue translucent plastic not featured on the other versions but he also comes with two guys I do not want.
They both cost about the same to get, so money is not an issue.

*update*
This is is an example what I wanted to do to fix it. But this is just some random putty I had lying around.
Image
Also, what can I do to simply seal the split and prevent it from getting worse?
Any advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated. :D

*new update*
I bought a brand new Henkei Bumblebee five days ago, and got him in the mail yesterday.

At first I was pretty happy with my purchase since, as always, Henkei figures always look even better in person.

But then upon further inspection I discovered that he too has a small crack on his windsheild...

Personally I like the style of the Classics version more than the Henkei or 3 Pack version. The Henkei version is very G1, but it's just yellow and black, no flair or substance. The Walmart 3 pack version is really a double homage. For one it's the Classics' mold, but homages the 2007 movie because it has the black stripes/blue windows like movie Bumblebee. When i saw it up close I was like meh.

I personally like the original classics version. Sure it did no match G1, but it gave the smallest chracter a more defined look. I loved the classics but the paint jobs for the series was off a bit, but BB's paint scheme seemed to fit him well.

Go with Classics.

I do agree with you quite a bit on this.
But I already own said Bumblebee. And though I am going to inevitably repaint him, I feel like I need a change of pace from the original. Plus the other two have yellow plastic instead of grey for the arms.

I'm leaning towards 3-pack BB, due to the blue windows (mah fav0R1t3 c0l0R HURP a D3RP) and because he also homages animated BB. But I'd like some people who've owned/seen him to tell me how good he is. Because I've heard of a few QC issues.

I think the 3-pack version is the best, personally. The others look bland to me. But why worry about it if you are planning on repainting it? I guess I just don't see the point.

Actually I was talking about repainting the broken one. >_>
But thanks for your opinion anyways.

If it was just a scratch, it would be an easy fix, but a split like that? You'd be better off cutting that part out and replacing it with a new piece cut from clear plastic.

Oh gawd that's too complicated for me! I don't even have the steady hands for that.
So it wouldn't really work, even if I was just putting something over it to cover it up?

The 3 pack BB is great. Do not hesitate to pick it up to replace the old one. Nice color and I have had no QC problems. Wish I had picked up the original Classics version, I didn't realize you could link him with mini-cons until I picked up the 3 pack.

Ok, now I remeber. Kinda silly, but I suppose it is a way to give him guns.

Well, you could use glue (white or epoxy. DON'T use crazy glue, it'll fog the plastic) to repair the plastic, then paint a stripe down the middle. That'd actually be pretty cool now that I think about it, make BB look like an old school hotrod with a two piece windshield.

Great! I'm pretty sure I have some epoxy in the basement. :D

Still, I'd like to use something to cover over it after. I'll take another look around to see what customizers use for sculpting...

Well, I ended up choosing Henkei Bumblebee. Why? I got tired of trying to choose between them, so I put a bunch of cards with "Henkei" and "Legacy" written on them into a bucket, shook them up, and whichever I drew five of first would win.

Henkei won three times in a row...

*edit*
Dangit I just wanted to edit the topic post.
I must be really tired.

The same thing is happening to my Henkei Bumblebee. :( I'm not going to fix it though, as long as it doesn't break all the way it's okay... but if I got a new one I'd go for the 3-pack version, I just think it looks the best. I never cared for the white on the Classics one nor the Chrome on the Henkei.

I replaced my classics with the 3 pack, my son got he TFA BB and I sold the Movie Bee for like 7 bucks on ebay just to make a little cash back.

Unless someone can come up with a way to keep this from getting worse on my Henkei. I'm done here. :BANG_HEAD:
