SDCC Blaster QC issues.

Well, just got my SDCC Blaster reissue, and Ramhorn has three left feet. His rear right foot is a left foot put on backwards. Photos will be coming later.

Also got my Piranahcon reissue, and I'll see what problems that has when I open it later.

Anyone else had any Blaster issues?

Wow, between this Piranacon and people posting about two left launchers on Seeker jets, Hasbro really seem to have dropped the ball with QC recently.

You'd think they'd step it up a little for the collector orientated lines if anything?

Hasbro/Takara's QC supervisors are either not being paid properly or they are paid too much........as in not worth their pound of sweat.

Noticed the trend lately, latest sweatshop workers from the provinces in China are just not the same caliber as compared with the sweatshop workers 5 years ago.

I thought Hasbro/Takara was moving some of their shops to Vietnam for better quality issues? Is this still true?

OK, got home and pulled it all out of the box. Ramhorn's third left foot seems to be the only issue, and it doesn't stop him transforming, he just looks a little weird standing up.

I also got Piranahcon in the same package. Haven't noticed any QC issues with the figures, with the exception of the decals on Overbite's legs getting a little crumpled when you transform him to shark, but that's going to be on every figure, from what I can see. The QC issues are in the packaging, showing the original Piranahcon's colouring instead of the new one, for every figure, and the instructions, which shows Tentakil using Skalor's weapons.

Wait, I tell a lie, there is another figure-related QC issue. The plastic joining Tentakil's pink legs to his blue body is the green plastic used on Anaptrap/Overbite/Seawing/Nautilator, rather than the blue plastic used on Skalor and the rest of Tentakil. Looks a bit odd.

"Product and colors may vary". Is on every single packaging and is true is every single case. The instructions one is a bit odd, but since they combine the same way, understandable. Tentakil's guns look triangular when viewed from the side for the record.

The original figure had that too. So it's no mistake at all.

In that case, I can say I haven't had any figure-related issues with Piranacon. Yes, the paint will scrape off a couple of faces when they're put in the gun stands. That's due to a design decision made for the original toy. All the joints etc seem tight, without being too tight. Nothing wants to fall out if I touch it.

On my Blaster, the black piece on the alt mode's handle will not slide to the left. It won't budge at all. Is it like this on all of them, or do I have a fluke?

Mine is fine, try sliding the black handle section to the right first (away from where you want it) then left. HTH, good luck.

Well, if you all had left your Blaster MISB like I did, all these problems would be moot points!

Besides, you should consider your Ramhorn with 3 left feet to be a variant!

Mine had 2 Ejects packaged up in it. 1 in the normal molded insert, and 1 in Blaster's insert bouncing around.

Fortunately I have no problems with Blaster & the tapes and any of the accessories. I do wish Hasbrotoyshop.com would have packed the item better than shoving it in a box and laying one sheet of brown paper on top of it so when it was shipped the commemorative box wouldn't have been crushed...

Can someone tell me if the packaging is the same Hasbrotoyshop as it was at SDDC? I like the reflective cover the SDDC version came with and was hoping to get it along with mine. If not. .....

My Blaster has two left fists. Really annoying as its glaringly obvious when you look at him.

Mine came in today and he is awesome. Lucky for me they packed him in a box that could have fit 3 more in with it. he had loads of packing paper around him and in excellent condition. :BOT:

One thing I dont like about it is that he didnt come with a set of stickers instead they are applied at the factory and applied very badly I must say. Looks like I will be buying a new set for him :(
