Hi everyone,
I'm new to the whole transformers collecting scene (or more appropriately, I'm back after a 20 year break!), and I'm trying to get a grasp on all the information regarding G1 and G1 reissues.
Anyway, I was wondering if there is a seminal or principal G1 Guidebook that would list accessories/specifications that you guys (the experts) would recommend?
Thanks for any help!

Mark Bellemo's Transformers Identification and price guide is what I think is the best one for G1 figures themselves and u can find it real cheap poking around on Amazon.
U have the Transformers book by Simon Furman for back story and happenings DreamWave comics wise.
Ark I and Ark II are the best for info for the TV show.
U also have the More Than Meets the Eye trades that IDW has recently reprinted

I am a big fan of volume 1 and 2 of the Transmanual. Pictures of every G1 item including pictures of all parts and variations.
TFsource.com may still have stock, and they are really cheap.

I'd recommend Transmanual 1+2 if you can find them. [I just looked and their old site is gone]

Thanks for the input everyone... I think i'm going to go with the Identification and Price Guide - because it's cheap and readily available.
The transmanual looked good, but seemed to be pretty scarce and thusly, more expensive.
