What is the deal with the Real Gear Powerup VT6's head?

I love the real gears and i get the whole autotransform thing, but why does his head never come up full?

Just grab him by both arms and pull hard. It takes some time, but his head will eventually pop into place.

Yes, you need to pull the arms with all of your available strenght before the head is fully exposed.
