Which PCC 2pak tops the list?

Hey Guys

Well first off i know everyone either loves or hates this line, it seems like a creative idea from Hasbro, but which one of these little guys is the best? I use to have Huffer and i thought he was pretty cool and kinda used him as a homage to G1 Huffer, but something went wrong and had to take him back and i havent had a chance yet to pick him up again. Anyway, Smolder is growing on me alot and i'm considering picking him up and seeing whats he's all about, but unsure about Backwind, Icepick, Sledge and leadfoot. Has anyone picked these up and would they be recommended? and if so whats their plus and minus to each one?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated...

So many threads already on this...

pcc-huffer-a-conundrum-t68711.php

These three amongst others, have people discussing the high points of the scout-sized commanders in both the two-packs, and five-packs.

Searchlight:
+ pretty decent alt mode.
+ rotor blades are removable.
+ alt mode head well hidden.
+ great articulation.
+ simple transformation. Does ok job of hiding kibble.
+ looks great with aerialbot drones.
- blue plugs are not hidden very well.
- rotor blades can get in way in robot/combined mode (removable though).
- Backwind weird, gangly minicon; ugly gun mode. Weakest Minicon of PCC figures so far...

Leadfoot:
+ good transformation; not to simple, not too complex.
+ alt mode head hidden well.
+ convincing alt mode.
+ great articulation.
+ combiner mode looks great.
- weird giant hands and fingers in commander mode.
- doesn't peg together in vehicle mode.

Icepick:
+ lots of character.
+ very articulated.
+ easy to transform.
+ good looking alt mode.
+ Chainclaw one of the better Minicon partners
- hands can't hold any weapons.
- transformation isn't very original; similar to Energon Snowcat .
- doesn't hide blue connector ports very well.
- waist connector doesn't hold together very well in commander mode.

Sledge:
- I don't have him yet :(

i think this line is so sweet! i havent had any problems with them at all. i have all of wave one and two 2 packs and five packs and they do not dissappoint at all. i think wave three is horrible considering they are all repaints.

I disagree. Great big cockpit parts flapping around his bum. Overall he's not bad. You can pretend the blue pegs are guns and the transformation is interesting. The minicon is awful though. I came up with a better gun mode myself.

I just combine the cockpit together in robot and it hides it enough for me...

I think Huffer is the best overall 2pak at the moment. I can say he looks great combined with ANY of the 5paks, especially the destructicons, with the exception of the Aerial Bots cuz I haven't tried or seen him with them (dont own them or Searchlight yet). His color scheme is so neutral with the rest and his proportions are spot on. He is fairly simple though in transformation. At first I was turned off by how plane he kind of is, not a lot to him, but thats probably why he works so good with everything else, he's not too extreme. His face mold reminds me of an old retired man living in florida with his huge full range sun shades. But combiner mode, he looks pretty kick ass. His mini-con would be better if parts actually snapped together, but it seems all the mincons really just do power yoga to transform.

A close second is Smolder, both him and his minicon. Chopster really is the best minicon in my opinion, makes for a great axe. The only down side is his Combiner mode. It looks good for the most part, but doesn't mix and match as well as Huffers, and his stiff board shoulders are as nice as I'd like em to be.

Mudslinger is alright, he is unique, but getting him into vehicle mode with all the parts snapped in place is a little hard. His commander mode is odd as well, he's very thin front to back, very flat. His super bright green doesnt mesh well with the destructicons either. But I still like him for his unique look, and once in vehicle mode, I do like the monster truck.

I don't even want to start with Double Clutch, just that bad...

I havent encountered any wave 2 2paks yet but very much looking forward to them.

Yeah, there are other threads on the PCC, so I'd check em out if I were you, but I think your question is fairly valid.

I thought of a reason not to do that but I can't remember what it was! He's reboxed at the moment until I open Smolder as I didn't want to display him alone.

Icepick's combiner mode is more akin to a nipple clutching mode.

I assume it's because he's cold...

LOL or technical term would be Screamin Ice Cutters for Icepicks combiner mode...
