To stick or not to stick?

Hi guys,

i am a total noob both on this forum and when it comes to Transformer collecting - so please excuse any naievity which may be evident in questions i ask.

I have recently purchased a G1 Bluestreak MIB from ebay (pics attached) and which, while in mint condition, does not have any decals attached which come with it.

What are peoples opinions on whether, for display purposes i attach the stickers? While this might decrease the value of the item i am curious as to how collectors deal with this situation.

Well, it's yours. Who is anyone to tell you how to enjoy your belongings? I'd sticker it up myself. Your call though.

Welcome to the site!

I suppose it may have a tiny increase of value for resale if you don't sticker it up but did you buy to resell? If not, the question is: do you prefer the way it looks now or do you think it would look better with stickers? We can't help you there!

Yup, the answer is really dependent on whether you want to sell this on again down the line and on how you like the look of the Transformer without the stickers. An unaplied original label sheet included with the set does improve the value of a MIB set a little.

I guess you could always buy Reprolabels to keep this original label sheet intact but want to label the TF. Still, if you do decide to use labels, make sure you have clean hands, clean the surfaces where the labels will be applied, and be precise and neat while positioning the stickers. I hate buying second hand TF's with (obviously) wrong positions for the labels or crooked placement of the labels. It means I have to take those labels off anyhow and replace them with Reprolabels. Lastly, make sure you press down the stickers well after positioning, to make sure they don't peel off at the corners.

I'd personally sell it and get the Reissue instead and stick the stickers on. :P Mint G1s are always going to be more valuable, and not using the sticker sheet does preserve the value.

But the reprolabels idea is a really good too.
