Is this a Transformer?

Found this guy in K-Mart and was wondering if its a KO of a Transformer or if its just a random tranforming robot. Im curious because right behind it was a KO movie ratchet with what i think was classics Syfires head and on the back of the box there was a picture of what looked to be a retooled Evac.

it looks to be an insanely simplified and remolded Binaltech Windcharger. I've seen him in person, and they had a similarly treated KO bayverse Ratchet.

It's almost sad to see what they'll do to make a buck. reminds me of that poor Deathsaurer they push during christmas.

I think it's a new mold. It's not a simplified Windcharger, the wheels are in entirely the wrong place.

Looks more like a simplified version of a third party set of transforming robots from a few years ago. Called Roadbots, the originals ranged from about Deluxe size to massive figures nearly Leader size.

Here's a few of them:

Except the Roadbots were (semi-)original molds by Happy Well, a legit toy company who first started with KO's of Power Rangers, Brave and Transformer toys, but later started producing original toys. I also wanna add that the RoadBots have been KO'ed by other companies. The irony just oozes out of it.

Happywell has some interesting KOs still. Macross's VF-1 Valkyrie which I own is pretty decent.

And I've been looking for the Power Rangers in Space Megazord KO: Electrobot (with lights and sounds) which looks pretty nifty in silver and gray.

They do however have their quite successful line of Roadbots, which are quite large, they have the 1:12 scale.

They seem to have some Soccer Cleat Transformers a la Shoe Label TF), a Soccer Player Bust that turns into a Cup wielding robot, and an actual soccer ball Transformer.

Happywell's site:

Best of all they are dirt cheap. My Valkyrie which is about 9 inches tall cost me 10 bucks. Sure it has no fast pack or super parts, but it does come with the bomb rifle and actually features some die cast.

For 10 bucks its a great deal.

Yeah, I was just saying it looked like a KO of a Roadbot. I have a few around here from the local drug store.

I didnt pick this guy up so im going by memory here but Id have to say its a little shorter than Masterpiece Skywarp. It would probably fit well in the binaltech line. Next time i go to kmart i think im going to get it. Might make a good repaint project. And its only $10. Ill take a comparison pic and post it so you can see the size.
