FP Protector Delayed?

Does anyone else think that HasTak got in touch with FansProject and asked/forced them to delay the Protector Armor? With Masterpiece Rodimus Prime out in 6 months they must be concerened about people buying the upgrade and not the Masterpiece. I remember a quote from Comic-Con. Something like "don't always rely on 3rd party companies to fill the gaps". Just a thought that popped in my head today.
Me, I am buying both and if Hasbro release MP Rodimus Prime at a cheaper price I will buy 3 more so I can have it in all modes. My Universe 3 pack is on its way, I can't stand the painted windows on Rodimus but hopefully it will look good in the armor.

I think HasTak's done what they could to cash in on the FP Protector armor, with the releases of Classics Rodimus, not singularly, but packed together with other figures at pretty high prices. You'll see Protector by the end of the year for sure. It's better to let FP take their time and perfect the mold and paint, instead of just forcing an unfurnished product (ala Impossible Toys) down people's throats. This is a top class company and they aren't going to let a single product of theirs tarnish their name. And in my opinion, they can take as much time as they want with Protector - Defender, and Crossfire are awesome enough as it is!

I wasn't complaining about a delay, just speculating. When it is perfect we will get it. Believe me, I trust FP and their products. They seem to be the only third party company that makes sure their products doesn't stink. Look at the Bruticus upgrade, many delays but the end result is a work of art. I wish more companies were like that (including Hasbro). I also don't mind paying for their products either, I know what I will recieve is the best.

I'm thinking if any contact were to be made at all it would be cease and desist orders. Luckily for us, it hasn't happened.

FP announced Protector two years ago. What made you think it was set for immenent release now?
I don't think Hasbro has anything to do with FP. Through the release of the three pack (which probably has a very different shade of red for Rodimus than protector has) or through any delay in Protector's release.

Apparently it took them 6 itertions to get to this stage where it's something they think they can release to the market. I'm all for them taking their time with this set. I don't think Hasbro has had anything to do with this.

Hasbro, if anything, is using them to cash in. That's the long and short of it.
As for Protector's release date, it was stated at Botcon that he's due in for the Christmas season this year.
