some custom one I ordered a while back, diecast and the chest opens to reveal a heart.
same order I got a cyclonus, but very loose and the classics cyclonus pretty much negates it uniqueness

The Hasbro red one is terrible. It's the super cheap semi-translucent red like on Ironhide, HtfD Hubcap, etc. I've been meaning to get a Henkei one for ages, but other things keep popping up.

I don't know. I really dug Stormcloud's color scheem and opted for him. I do not regret it one bit.

I went for Stormcloud, simply because that mold is NOT Powerglide to me. It's not the size, it's the stocky build.

I actually think the mold itself was exceptionally well done. I think the proportions were absolutely correct, and the figure as a whole was a great update to the cartoon likeness Powerglide had in the series. I realize most people don't agree with that, but I will go to my grave with my opinion unchanged....
as far as the color, Henkei is the best. I do like the white version a lot though. The Hasbro red version is the only one that I truly feel looks nasty.

I bought the white version. Good enough for me. I'm not a huge Powerglide fan, but I think it's funny how 's a bodybuilder compared tot he other Neo G1 minibots.

I bought the white version, and soon later saw the red version available overseas. I just couldn't fork over the loot for it though. Then Hasbro started giving us Americans the red version. So picked that one up as well. I passed on Stormcloud, but kinda wish I had picked him up. Only because of his color scheme. It's just so Skywarp'ish. So between the two I have, I like the red one better. It fits Powerglide as a upscaled minibot.

I'm happy with the grey one. I don't have any red ones but I actually prefer the more realistic colour.

I bought the grey one because TRU were chucking them out at £15, about £20 cheaper than either of the red ones would have cost me.
However, I can't look at it without thinking of "
Hot House". I may have to stump up some cash and upgrade soon.

I can only comment on the US releases of Powerglide, as I have never seen the Henkei version in person.
I like the red version. The white just isn't Powerglide to me. It is an A10, but it is not the character. He is a nice update on the toy and from the G1 animation.

The white one has been repro-labelled into Hot House and I hav ethe nice Japanese Universe (not Henkei, just being picky) one as my own.

I think the mold is terrible. The scrawny legs, tiny arms and jumbo chest ruin it for me. It would have been so much better if it was a deluxe, or even voyager, but they had to make it bigger to get the electronics and battery space. After having it for an hour I gave it to my sons.
And they always keep it as a jet, since the robot mode is "weird looking" to them too!

Yeah you're right. Powerglide, Onslaught, and Sliverbolt are referred to as the USA editions on the package.
I was curious why they were never called Henkei. The only theory I could come up with was these toys were larger than voyager-class, which would have resulted in a new type of packaging. Kinda like what they do for ROTF Japanese toys.
Oh, and the one I prefer is Stromcloud. He's not as Skywarp-ish as you think. Gentei Syfire does that job nicely. Also Stormcluod is a homage to the micromaster version of the toy. Pretty cool in my book.

Really? I don't see the similarity. For one Hothouse is rather red! Secondly he doens't have the Robert Paulson chest.

Yeah I know it's a homage to the micromaster, but when you walk past the toy aisle and glance at him, skywarp's colors always came to mind. I think the reason I passed on him was because of the wings.

Two reasons I think:
1. No chrome.
2. The packaging and the USA edition draw.
Anyway, Henkei/USA edition Powerglide is the best. The Universe 2.0 Walmart exclusive may have a more slavish representation of the original G1 toy, but I don't think it serves Powerglide well.
The plastic is mildly transluscent compared to the Henkei version and if you ever compare the two side by side, the Universe 2.0 version looks like the Henkei one if it had been left in the sun for a month.

I'd go with the henkai version since that versions arm doesn't suddenly fall off at the hinge for no reason. The henkei version hasn't done that to me yet.

I personally prefer the color scheme of the red Hasbro one, including the blue transleucent bits... I don't own it, and it doesn't look bad in the images. Anybody got photo proof that it really does suck?

I have the Takara version but I swapped the arms on that one with the arms of the Hasbro red one.

hasbro/walmart version for me, red is the right shade, arms are grey like the original, the blue chest pieces look better than the orange ones, and the price is much better. or at least it was when i first picked him up($20)

I only have the Stormcloud repaint. I got it to repurpose as Shattered Glass Powerglide. I gave him a backstory too: Powerglide upgraded his body because the other Autobots made fun of his original smaller body. The upgrade didn't have the desired effect. Now the Autobots make fun of his overly large body.
