Hopefully Right forum. Ok, I want to make a Stopmotion film with TFs, and want to have most of the original cast from G1 in it. I am no geewunner, so I can't tell you all of the ones that were there, but is there any major characters not included in this line. I am also using the HA line from ROTF for BB and Barricade and possibly Skids and Mudflap.

Well, Bumblebee was the most notorious absentee from the BT line, as Volkswagen didn't want their cars associated with "war toys". He did get an Alternity release, which is a different scale than BT and ends up at a Deluxe-size in robot mode. Same goes for Cliffjumper (even though the original G1 toys were not remolds of eachother). Trailbreaker is another, but his mold, including head was used for Swindle and Rollbar. You could get Rollbar, paint him black, and presto: Trailbreaker. Ironhide and Ratchet never got molds made, though BTA Broadblast is a decent substitute.
O, btw the Movie is
separate from the G1 Universe. Movie Bumblebee is not G1 Bumblebee

Yeah, I know, Would the Alternity BB and CJ fit in as Minibots, or do they look too out of place? Are all but Ratchet, Trailbreaker and Ironhide from the main cast covered?

Those two would fit, given their smaller stature, but scale would be an issue to some. I've taken out my list and checked who never got a toy, despite being cars:
Ironhide
Ratchet
Inferno
Grapple
Hoist
Blurr
Kup
The rest aren't cars, so... yeah.

Well, With Green Screen I can make up for size in Vehicle mode. Anyone else on the decpticons side that was vital in the cartoon that should be included? Or other autobots? Other ones that now have an MP toys that could be repurposed? Any KOs that would work?

I'm afraid you'll only have the Seekers and Megatron to work with. That is, if you don't mind a car-mode Shockwave, Rumble and Ravage...

Nah, I actually really like those molds, and hope to get them soon. I like the aesthetic. There are some Kos I am looking into, such as a police team, and There are some KOs made to look like Trailbreaker and Ratchet.

You'd probably be better off with Alternators for stop-motion filming....the MPs, while quite beautiful and G1-close in appearance, are very fragile and don't take too well to being posed and re-posed over and over again for such a project...Especially the Decepticons, Megatron in specific. I don't even TOUCH my MP Megatron anymore, save to reapply the numerous temporary repairs required for that figure to look great as a display piece.

Yes Pyro, I think I will get a Broken Junker on the cheap side and send it to a friend of mine to make it look good but not transform.

Why not use the Classics / Universe / Generations figures?
Most of them are remarkably articulated, they're just as immediately recognizeable, etcetera etcetera. You can use MP Prime or others if you want, and the size disparity between the Autobots and Decepticons (i.e., there IS NONE, frawkin too short planes) is negligible since you can greenscreen it.

I would like too, but.......I want to use the Alternators, they are mostly in scale with each other, and teh more I have to work with scale by keying, the harder it gets, And I don't want that. Plus, The alternators have the weapon kits, I just need to find them.

I say go for it. A lot of the MPs and Alts look pretty good together in robot mode. Thats what most of my neo G1 display is.

Does anyone have a shot of the Faith Leader compared to Alternators?

Can't help you there, Stixx. Wish I could since I want a Faith Leader too but I just don't want to pay that much for something that I've read is a gamble as far as QC. From what I've read he's around the same height as MP Starscream, perhaps a bit shorter. He's definitely taller than the Alternators though.
It'll probably never happen but I'd wish Hasbro would make a smaller plastic MP Prime that was almost the size of movie leader Prime

I'm sure someone around here must have pictures of Faith Leader. I'd be curious to see those myself.
