Should I open my 'holy grail'?

Hey, I recently, after 7 years obtained my 'holy grail' of transformers - A MOSC beast wars Terrorsaur. Should i leave it MOSC? I would love to open it but I heard that the mold was destroyed, so it's worth a lot... HELP!

everyone has their own opinions on KICvsTIO. Me, I can't stand having a TF imprisoned unless I have two of it. I'm a TIO guy, transformers were made to be transformed at least once.

I'd love to get a second one, but they are really hard to find cheap...

If you're that worried about monetary value, I say keep him sealed and look for a loose (yes, loose) Terrorsaur for yourself to enjoy. You can keep the sealed Terrorsaur for a rainy day, as it's true most if not all molds of the basic-sized toys are lost, and thus he could go up in value in the long run.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not the KICOB (Keep It Carded Or Boxed) kind of guy. Case in point: I opened up a sealed G1 Sky Garry ;)

The problem is, here in the uk they are almost impossible to find. I ordered my current terrorsaur from big bad toy store and i was charged £22 extra from customs...

Ouch! Well, I have no real problems opening older items (my Sky Garry was cheap anyway) and if Terrorsaur really is that rare...

I may have to order a new one from an american seller on ebay, and fork up extra for the postage etc. Ugh...

Why not try mainland Europe?

There are plenty on ebay right now.One MOSC for $47 USD buy it now.I personally only consider TF's over $200 to be expensive or at least start being expensive. My grail will cost me $500-$1000 I assume. So $50 for a grail seems like an awesome thing. You can build an army for what I'll get mine for.

OPEN it! It has to be something limited or very special for me to keep it MISB. I side with the "Transformers are meant to be transformed" argument. But hey, its your grail! Your choice!

It is your choice, but my opinion is to open and enjoy.

If you are never planning to sell it, then I would open it.

Terrorsaur doesn't seem to be that expensive Stateside loose. found one for 12 bucks on buy it now, probably wont be THAT much to ship.

If he really is that rare and you consider it a "holy grail", I'd say keep that, and get a loose one from us Americans. In my opinion, he's not really that great... reminds me of a lot of the quick change basic jets, nothing to write home about.

Normally I am for the "OPEN IT!" opinion, but again, since he's not exactly that amazing to me, it wouldn't be worth opening a rare MIB beastwars toy. I think you'll be glad in the long run that you got a loose duplicate if you're willing to pay around $25 at most for what was originally an $8 (I think) toy.

But like Prime Riblet said, if you never plan on selling it, then open it.

Unless you actually plan on selling it, the answer is always open it. ;)

Thanks for all the replies,I have ordered another Terrorsaur from a US seller on eBay. And while I understand Terrorsaur isn't that much, the character has a sort of 'sentimental' value to me in a way :)

no need to explain yourself, I'd be willing to bet every one of us has that one figure we just had to get. For me, it was G1 Dead End.

Ironically, Dead End was the last Stunticon I found, probably because he was the one I wanted.

you only live once, you arent a convention dealer or a store owner I assume so the priority should be to enjoy the bot.

and a minty terrorsaur still fetches decent money loose with cardback.

Don't open it. Get a loose one. You'll never get or maybe even see a Mosc one anymore, and an unopened holy grail is a bigger treasure than one opened.

(That's my opinion of every transformer made before BW TM figures... Hell, I would hunt down anybody for a MISB goldbox Grimlock)

Aha I was very young when Terrorsaur was released, and so had no idea which toy he acctually was - despite seeing him on the show every day :)
