As we now know Transformers Generations makes it's way to Japan under the name of Transformers United And now due to a "friend", who came from the jungle wearing nothing but a loincloth and proclaiming that his name was Tarzon or something odd like that, we have come into the possession of this very interesting image:

Hmmm, I guess it is a repaint of the Universe Deluxe mold.

I wonder if we'll get a Megatron that looks like that. Sort of a brozey copperish thing.

Looks the card art for Animated with Prime and Megatron facing off. And its not the back: I can clearly see the reflection on the plastic bubble.

this is surprisingly unremarkable, which is weird cause its from takara. . .

I am relatively sure that it is the recolor of Voyager Class Megatron.

yeah surprisingly not as amazing as i thought it wouls be. guess i have to hold it in my hands to make a full desision.

Yeah, kind of underwhelming compared to the Animated Box art, but then again, Henkei, Classics, Universe, Generations, and United are all place holder lines for the movie toy lines. Still not like Takara to skip beat like that.

I have a stinking feeling that the "Optimus" being released for this line is the one with the "Tomy" gun.

So, Deluxe Generations Prime will be a repaint of ...THAT mold.

Yay.

I do wonder now if we'll see another Classics Rodimus mold release.

They're bringing back Optimus for mass retail, they've used him in the Sons Of Cybertron 2-Pack.

Rodimus has already been used for SoC and the Cybertron 3-Pack.

Doesn't mean we'll see one, I know, but they'd be crazy not too. Obviously he'd sell.

As for the packaging, not impressed. Rather bland for TakaraTomy. =\
