Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone who owned both Drift and either Bludgeon or his re-paint could give me an idea how they size up in robot mode? Also, how do their big swords compare in size? A friend of mine who picked up Drift wants a good nemesis for his display, and I suggested Bludgeon, but he's not too sure they would make a good match.

Pictures would also help, if it's not too much trouble.... thanks!

Lockdown isn't a pirate...

Bludgeon is a voyager and Drift a deluxe so as you can see from the pics above Bludgeon is bigger but they make a great pair for fight-display purposes. The swords are similar in size (Bludgeon's blade is maybe 15mm longer).

Thanks for the pictures and the info guys. I'll let my friend know to check this out and it should help with his decision. Heck, even I'm considering getting the pair to display fighting. Thanks!

I think I have to get Banzai-Tron now!!!

I'll just say I'm one who hates the concept of repaints, and paying twice for exactly the same figure in different colours.

I had zero qualms about picking up both Bludgeon and Banzai-Tron, though.

Yeah, the Bludgeon mold is pretty sweet... but I think I really favor Banzai's colours, if not his name. Bludgeon looks too, well, "halloweenish", while Banzai's darker colouring is a great contrast to Drift's offwhite.

Also, Lockdown looks like a good backup choice, and I think it's quite interesting that he's been adopted into the G1-verse in none other than his Movie form. I wouldn't mind seeing those two go toe-to-toe in the comics, and since I read that Megatron sent the bounty hunter to find Deadlock, I realize that it's a pretty good possibility.

I really like Drift and the ROTF Bludgeon. Their size is near identical and they both dual wield swords/blades. the whirl included in the Masers of Metallikato set with bludgeon is meh....and just stays off to the side for now...

The Blood upgrade from headrobots makes the bludgeon look epic in that set. The Gyro upgrade while making whirl more G1 is still kinda meh. I am still eyeing that set so if i decide to get the upgrade I can have more samurai robots. He doesn't even have to be bludgeon since the ROTF one pulls that off very well.

Drift fits with Bludgeon very well.

I have Drift and Bludgeon facing off in my display, and it works for me.
