This looks nice. And it's a rare thing I say for Movie Bumblebee toys. Although, this is one of those rare cases where metallic paint isn't necessary being that Bee's paint in the movies is more of a glossy yellow. I still support the use of metallic paint on toys that make sense of the use.

I updated this news story accordingly to reflect that this is a Costco exclusive.

WOW!! I was not at all going to buy this Bumblebee. I only have two BB figures, old Camaro BB and ROTF BB...and soon TF3 BB.

But now with this paint, oh, he looks good! And since he'll be at Costco, he'll be TONS cheaper then one from Wal-Mart or Target.

Last year when Costco had TransFormers for sale. They were very very cheap. They sold the two pack of Ratchet and Grindor together for $10, the BB helmet for like $10 or $5. Can't wait to see how much this guy will cost.

So yeah, looks like I'm getting another Bumblebee.

Perfect example of unnecessary metallic paint.

Actually, Grindor and Ratchet were around $24 which was basically buy one get one free. They were definitely not $10, unless you saw them on clearance. Does Costco even do clearance on stock?

They were $10 at my Costco, but most likely they were on clearance. Their Devastator on clearance was, I think around $25 maybe $35...but still. I think Costco does do clearance, I would think they must on toys since they don't sell toys all year round.

I might actually be interested in this if it's a bit cheaper than the regular one...and if someone with a Costco membership can hook me up.

The metallic paint really brings out the ugly in his face.

Never been bothered importing a TF item, this one's an easy pass though. Seriously, it feels like somehow this brand of Bumblebee has managed to catch up in number of figures to the other usual suspects in the brand name of Transformers.

And the Movie Masterpiece Bumblebee pre-orders grind to a halt. Since Costco's cheap and awesome, I won't mind giving this set a try.
