As I'm working on the gallery for Generations Dirge, I can't help but think how far this mold has come (and been through) over the past 4 years. Can you believe it's been that long since the original Classics Starscream was released in the fall of 2006? Wow. Seems like it was just yesterday.

For all intents and purposes (and arguments sake) in this discussion, I'm referring to all variations of the original Classics Starscream from the same mold. All of the Seekers use the same basic body with changes to the heads, wings, and/or missiles.

I currently own 17 versions of this mold. This has to be one of the most profitable molds Hasbro has ever made for the Transformers toy line.

I'm patiently waiting for #18 and #19 ... let's hear it for Generations Thundercracker and Sunstorm at long last before the "Classics" line comes to an end! And if Hasbro wants to milk this mold for one or two more after Sunstorm and Thundercracker, I'm game for at least one more "Rainmaker" as well (the generic purple / lavendar one).

I'd buy them but has the mold got enough life left for 2 more repaints?

I'd be down for some generic drones, Sunstorm and Thundercracker. I already own Botcon and Henkei TC and I'd probably buy a third. I'm a bit stupid that way. The rainmakers I could do without though. Nothing against them, they simply do nothing for me.

you left out G2 Ramjet, soon to be released by TFCC.

I still don't understand why Hasbro refuses to make Thundercracker. I have a friend whose been making a killing selling Masterpiece Skywarps repainted into TC, good money Hasbro could be raking in themselves.

Although I would buy him if he were released in the Gen line, I don't consider Sunstorm a necessary part of my collection, IE I wouldn't feel as if there were a hole in my collection if he was never produced.

Not so with Thundercracker, though.

With the soon to be inclusion of Gen Dirge into my collection, there will be one remaining and somewhat noticeable position that Acid Storm fills but obviously is only substituting for. There, between Starscream and Skywarp. If they only make one more use of the seeker mold after Dirge I pray that it will be TC.

Though I understand that this would not be great for everyone here, in my opinion it would be awesome for Hasbro to release a Generations two-pack with the sought-after Animated TC and a Gen TC, sort of like what they did with that Bumblebee three-pack a while ago. It would be a convenient way to blast two seekers with one missile!

I been patiently waiting for both of these molds.I really hope I can get both before the next movie, well at least Thundercracker.Sunstorm would be icing on the cake.

Thundercracker is a must have, and i wouldn't turn my nose up at Sunstorm either.

@Seibertron: The rallying call is heard and echoed, whole heartedly! Let Thundercracker and Sunstorm be released as Generations figures!

definitely one of their most versatile molds. thundercracker is a must, Sunstorm. less so, but it makes sense so long as the mold is viable. they'll make $$ off it as an exclusive of some kind or other.

As someone who has Botcon Thundercracker and a custom-made Sunstorm, I will still heartily add my voice to this call

Let me speak. I really thought Botcon TC was ridiculous in price. I once owned Henkei TC but the quality is very bad. Now I think if Hasbro can release Dirge and Thrust, which were both exclusives on both sides of the world, then TC can be made.

I'm patiently awaiting a Dirge. I know FunPub may be reeling, but the way they did the seekers was just wrong IMO. They never should have made TC an exclusive. This has caused every TC to become an exclusive...and why?

He's Skywarp's brother...and he's no Starscream. Sure he makes loud sonic booms or something, but does that make him that exclusive...no!!!

Release him to the mas market Hasbro at once. And bring Sunstorm too!!!!

Eh, I'm having too much fun doing repaints myself.
Now, if they started selling unassembled generic Seeker kits in white or light gray, I'd buy them by the case!

I don't understand what the hold up is with Sunstorm. There's been so many versions of Sunstorm now ... why not with the classics mold? May be he's not one of the originals, but he's been so prolific lately, so why not just make him?

I don't understand why they don't just release both of these guys. They should just brake down and do it already.

Not a HUGE fan of Sunstorm, meself... he's just another background character that got WAAAAY too much attention from Dreamwave and the rest, IMHO. Still, useful as an army builder, like Acid Storm.

I currently own both US Starscream releases (Classics and U/CL), Skywarp, Thrust, Ramjet, and Acid Storm. Dirge WILL be mine when he comes out, so all I'm waiting for is Thundercracker.

However, if they DO release Sunstorm, then they'd better release the blue rainmaker, too, so I can complete THAT trinity of Seekers!

I've got my fingers crossed. The first fig utilizing this mold I purchased was Generations Thrust, and I loved it. So I scoured eBay and finally found Universe Starcream. I've got a KO Skywarp to use as a placeholder until I can find a reasonably priced Hasbro/Takara one, and I've got Dirge on my list of purchases to make. Sadly no Ramjet in my collection (although I'm searching for him on eBay as well) and TC and Sunstorm would be the perfect pieces to complete the set. Well, if I'm not counting Acid Storm, since I missed out on him too...

I just can't envisage a situation where they don't get made eventually. The 2 characters are just so popular and it doesn't make sense for them not to complete the set with Thundercracker and Sunstorm. Come on Hasbro!!! You've given us so many most wanted figures in Generations so far, now give us some more please!!

But, I if they do Thundercracker let's hope he's in his bright blue G1 colours unlike Henkei's boring dark blue and that Hasbro forget about the crappy camo paint job they used on Acid Storm (if they used the same on Sunstorm then he wouldn't be getting bought). He would look really cool in just his orange and white with no gimmicks.

I LOVE that mold! I would buy it if they painted it the most god-awful colors and named it something ridiculous!

One more, Hasbro. Just one more and we will have a complete set of Seekers. Is G1 the only time we have had all six Seekers from one mold, or in one line? So close...we NEED Thundercracker.

Can they squeeze four more redecos out of this mold? I would love to have the yellow and blue rainmakers to complete that set, but if they cannot make both, I'd rather they design a new tetrajet mold and release the three rainmakers with that. I'll buy another Acid Storm for that.

I'll throw in a request for Actionmaster Thundercracker too!

I want a gift pack with Sunstorm, T'Cracker and WFC-Slipstream.
