That's cool and all, but it looks a little too much like a toddler's construction toy. Will wait and see what Takara does with it.

You're on top of it today Mach!
I really like this figure a lot but I agree with the earlier comment-looks very simplified. Hopefully Takara will give it a "little extra" in the paint app category.

Yeah, the arms have been remolded as well as the feet. I really like how Hasbro took the extra steps to remold so of the parts instead of making it a straight repaint.
I too would like to see Takara's painted version. I would like to see a chrome bumper.

Not the first glaring typographical error on Transformers packaging, probably not the last either. I'd try to argue it's necessity for trademark purposes, but then the "Solar Storm" in the name already takes care of that. Perhaps it's a packaging test shot and the error will be fixed by it's actual release... Then again, perhaps not. I could see Hasbro letting this slide...

To most appropriately quote:

I thought I was the only one that noticed that obvious misspelling of "GRAPPLE." I wonder if this will make the toy more valuable once it hits retail.

There's still quite a bit of time before the figure is released, so hopefully the spell check guys over at Hasbro see it and correct it.
Anyways, I always liked the red of Inferno better than the yellow of Grapple, but I never even saw one in stores, so I'll gladly pick up Grapple, especially since it looks like he's gotten a few upgrades to his mold. What's up with the name Solar Storm though? Is he supposed to have some sort of new powers or something?

I passed on Inferno. Maybe ill get Graple if the price is right. Not a big fan of the mold although I like my Botcon 2010 Spark. Can someone please tell me exactly is the "Solar Storm" ???

I like the look of 'Grappel'. Oh well now we know that it wasn't a member of Walmart's staff who made a spelling mistake in their computer but one of Hasbro's!!
Hasbro have done some nice remolding on him although his paint looks a bit too yellow if you ask me.
Either way I'm glad they finally did this repaint as I really like Classics Inferno although like everyone else I think I'll wait until I see Takara Tomy's version before I buy it.
They seem to be releasing all the figure I have no interest in in the first wave of Transformers United so hopefully by next Spring some of the most wanted guys like Jazz, Tracks and 'Grappel' will be coming.
G1 Hotspot repaint possibility?

Hmmm... reveal the shield. The autobot symbol looks like the one on a rub symbol, could that be the new line's gimmick?

Wow, I'm very impressed. I thought they just redid the crane and the head, but the arms too?
I'll get one if it kills me

One more to spend money. But i will wait for Takara because i really hope they put his head yellow like the cartoon, just like they did whit Red Alert painting his head red and not black has the one from Hasbro. But neither way Hasbro is taking the correct path for me, just want to see now his Weeljack, Kup, Trailbreaker, Hoist, Skids probably also a Jazz repaint for Ricochet, Cliffjumper and Ultra Magnus realese from Takara and I think it's asking to mutch but i also liked to see Brawn, Beachcomber, Huffer and Gears in the same size of Deluxe Classic/Henkei Bumblebee. Has anyone knows whitch size will Scout Windcharger be? His he at the same size of Deluxe Bumblebee?

I'm hpoing that packaging is a typo'd "sample". It was billed as "Grapple" at the Cybertron Con, but that Walmart listing doesn't fill me with hope.
He has also got a lot more yellow since we first saw him!

I don't see the remould of the feet, but I do see the remould in the arms and hands. Maybe the solar storm thing will be a throw back to his solar power tower. Hopefully hinting at a new hoist too!

I'm not really fond of the yellow he's sporting, but I must get this guy anyway. Probably the closest thing to a Wreckers Pyro I'm ever gonna get.

Love the fact that there are remolded parts instead of a straight up repaint.
Don't like how the color got more yellow from the preview pic at toy fair, though.
