My First PCC- Smolder and Chopster
So I decided to visit Target today. Of course, I went straight to the TFs to find...half of wave 1. Goody goody. But, ironically two figures caught my eye. Huffer w/ Caliburst and Smolder w/ Chopster. I tried to decide for a a while, then I thought maybe a movie figure would be more enjoyable. This caused another dilemma: Ironhide or Ravage? The PCCs just seemed to be calling my name, and I ultimately picked Smolder out of curiousity and to expand my Decepticons in my fairly small collection that is roughly 75% Autobots.
So I get home and with great effort, I remove Smolder and his little pal from their bindings. I figured out the transformation without the instructions, and left me feeling like: That's all? $9.99 for this! Why didn't I get Ironhide or Ravage! But, I kept playing around with him, and figured out the uses for the mini-con, and I started to enjoy the figure a little. Plus, Smolder features the old Unicron Trilogy mini-con plug, and the same standard fist hole, so the new and old mini-cons are compatible with each others' continuities' figures. It kind of brings back the great memories from when I discovered TFs during the Unicron trilogy. Maybe the Power Core Combiners aren't so bad after all. (But I still want Ironhide and Ravage. And please no SACRILEGE SACRILEGE! comments. These are TFs after all.)
