meh, another repaint.

And even though FunPub didn't do it, I still miss the days when original characters were created.

Good! I didn't like the way he was looking at me with those shifty eyes.

...Meh.

Don't get me wrong, I'm totally joining this year to get him, but I do have issues. For one, I got Speedbreaker instead of Side Burn for a specific reason:Hasbro fails at the In Disguise portion of RiD. I was hopefull that this repaint wouldn't have the giant autobrand on his roof.

My thoughts exactly.

Was looking forward to adding him to my Elite Guard/Wings of Honor display.

Well, this is still just a photoshop, so maybe we'll get some chrome on the final product!

Am I the only one who's slightly bothered when they reveal 'shopped images instead of the real thing?

Aaaanyway. This looks pretty good. A little tempting too. But enough to pay the $80 or whatever a year membership fee for Canadians? Probably not.

Dang, the color actually fits the mold. I thought it would make the mold look like some sorta knock-off. Guess I was wrong.

This guy looks great!. I really like the blue design. I recently joined the club when I saw they were using the Rodimus mold for the freebie figure; never got one & don't feel like paying ebay prices for one either. Plus I like this color scheme better than Rodimus. :APPLAUSE:

If I were to get 'em, I'd call him something along the lines of "Deep Space Rodimus/Hot Rod" or something like that. That's what I named Universe Treadbolt, "Deep Space Jetfire". Fits him perfectly in my eyes.

Like I didn't want a SkyByte enough before!

The Deluxe G2 Optimus repainted as Scourge better not be a Club exclusive though. I'm a member but that level of awesomeness should be available to the public!

Zod demands more RiD! Or at least DVDs...

I just wanted to take a second and thank everyone for the positive responses. When we showed the slide at BotCon everyone was kind of scratching their heads, because all we had up was a picture of Rodimus and the original Side Burn. I had, however, seen an initial mock up and thought it was very strong for a membership incentive figure. Your responses are even more positive than mine!

So cool that you all dig! For everyone who is joining the club for the first time, I look forward to you seeing everything else you will get by being a member. For those who haven't been a member for awhile, things have only gotten better. We put a lot of work in to the Magazine and Side Burn will be seeing a lot of action in next years story as well!

And be sure to continue to watch the TCC site as we have many more announcements over the next few weeks!!!

I like that your sig brings glory to my name.

Anyway, another cool Club figure Pete. Just to hype everyone a bit more...which of the existing Rodimus toys will YOU use as your Super Mode Sideburn?

Oh! Time to go buy another Rodimus people. Do it.

I looked up pictures of the original "Sideburn" and I must say it works. Im glad they didnt use the stupid half cyborg face like the original Sideburn has. But I also think they should minus the spoiler all together. I know that mod can be done and it may even save them some money in plastic since they buy em from Japan in bulk.

It's not really a mod, the sides of the spoiler peg in and out and the center screws in. And Hasbro makes it for them not Takara.

No, it's included in your membership. Pretty sweet deal, huh?

Honestly rodimus isnt really getting outrageous prices on ebay..I've picked up 5 over the past few months for under 40 bucks..A mix of 3 pack rodimus/classics and henkei..Pretty sweet deals..Now wildrider/SG Rodimus..Forget about it..I have yet to see one for less than $600

SideRod will be a ncie addition though...Any chance of FP making a 3rd repaint of Protector :P?
