Blurr's Double Pistol Dilemma

So, I just opened the Generations Blurr figure I got at Target on Friday, and I'm a little annoyed.

His paint job is pretty scratched up - which makes me sad since that was one of my favorite things about the figure - but hey, that was going to happen eventually, so I can shrug that off.

The big problem is that he has two left pistols. Because of this, one of them can't be holstered correctly (though it didn't stop the factory worker who packaged him), and it can't properly form the bipod for his rifle.

Am I correct in believing that he should have both a right and left pistol, or did Hasbro decide to only produce one in order to cut costs?

I would assume you just got a bad figure...

But as I don't have the figure yet, I can't say for sure. The only similar instance I've had was on my Universe Blaster: He has two left hip plates(tassets)

While I don't have (or plan to buy) Generations Blurr, I've recently had a taste of bad QC with my first WFC Soundwave. Some fool at the factory actually placed a smaller sized pin on the left elbow, causing it to be WAY loose. The pin was small enough that it actually looked visibly smaller than the right one.

Other than that, the left panel that covers Soundwave's head in alt mode also had a deep scratch on it.

In the end, I decided to buy a second Soundwave. This time, I checked the panels as best I could for scratches.

I actually had to pass on a WFC Megs the other day-it was the only one at the store I went to, and the paint apps were just too poor to overlook.

I would assume that Blurr should have a right and a left pistol, but I haven't seen one to make a proper judgement. Seriously, some of the Generations figures are lacking in QC. It is disappointing.

See if hasbro has a quality assurance number, and call it? Maybe they can mail you the correct pistol?

Its not just blurr's I bought the rotf re-release of the Superion Maximus mold when it came out. The black jet(AirRaid) has two left lower arms. Luckily this doesnt affect combined mode which is wy i bought the guy, but yeah QC is pretty poopy in my opinion someimes. I mean the joints on my breacher are tighter than a virgin on prom night so any pose i try to do is a gamble of if i break something.

It's a lot easier to just return it to the store and search for a better one. QC issues are relatively common; deciding whether or not you care enough to want a new one is up to you.

I say, return it. But that's just me.

If I return it it will have to be for a refund, because it's a safe bet I won't see another one for a couple months. I still haven't seen the 3rd or 4th wave of Generations around here.

I put in an e-mail to Hasbro today. In the past they've been willing to handle such problems, and hopefully they'll just send me a replacement pistol in the mail. I'm afraid they'll want me to send them the whole figure for replacement, which would bite because it'll cost money, and I won't be 100% sure they won't replace it with 'a product of equal value' like Revenge of the Fallen Mudcrap. :?

It's been a lousy weekend for my TF collection. PCC Smolder's arm fell off yesterday - the plastic just tore right through at the shoulder - and I got him a couple of months ago in another state, so there's no exchanging him. Don't know how these are supposed to stand up to children.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

Edit: I have finally arrived at a solution which minimizes the relevance of this figure's deficiencies.

It should have been obvious from the beginning - once they become more common, I will simply buy another one.

And then another.

And another.

And another, until I can display Blurr like this:

So I was in my local walmart tonight and found a Darkmount that had two Machineguns and no missile pack... how's that for QC.

To answer the original question: Yes, Blurr does come with one right-side gun and one left-side gun. After i played around with the figure the first time, i tried putting the left gun in the right holster and... whoever packaged yours is a lazy piece of protopalsm.
