What To Do With Brawn?

I opened NEST Brawn yesterday and he's way better than I expected (apart from need the superglue fix on the hips). The only problem is I don't think he really fits in with the Movie toys. He doesn't have the complex molding with pipes and gears that the Movie lines have (apart from one piston beside the wheel on his shoulder) but he seems too futuristic for my Classics shelf. Where do you guys think he fits best?

He fits wonderfully in the bin or in a parcel addressed to me.
I think he'd look nice in a Cybertron collection, but Classics may have to do.

Brawn is kind of a weird one. I haven't found a home for him that I am super happy with yet either, so I don't really have any suggestions. I kind of think he fits a little better with the movie line than the classic line, but not by much.

Personally, I have my ROTF Brawn in my Shattered Glass line as SG Brawn. He seems to work alright in there.

And then to add to the confusion, there's the upcoming repaint Fallback to consider...

Ive got Brawn and Mindwipe and Hailstorm and Seaspray in with my Classics. I mention the four of them because they're either movie line or extended movie line figures, but in my opinion they look nice, which I don't think most of the movie figures look good, so I've got a bias here. But with a little mental shoehorning Brawn makes a fine Classics figure, although I do like the SG idea as well.

Well, he fits a little better with the Movie line to me, so I just have him posed front and center. Those double pistols make for some really nice badass poses. I have Legends Brawn for Classics.

Looking at photos, he's definitely movie material to me. I kind of noticed his different design when I first saw him. He looks intriguing. Since I skipped out on the whole second half of ROTF waves(really dumb idea)

I have considered buying Brawn and Ratchet. I don't know if they are the right choices though.

I once saw someone suggest using him as Guzzle -- I rather like that idea.

I think he seems to visually fit in with the RID Car Brothers for some reason, though I have no suggestions how he fits in story-wise. I have mine thrown in with my misc. figs I don't know what to do with...which is probably part of a future trimming down sale.

I only have Primus and Prime from that line but compared to Prime I see your point. Unfortunately the only figure I can see myself getting is Megatron.

Come to think of it Mindwipe is another funny one. Him and Hailstorm are on there way so I can't think about them just yet. Maybe I'll end up with a little shelf of Extended-Movie-Line figures that don't really fit.

Cybertron's a great line, you should reconsider.

As for the topic at hand - a lot of the non-film Movie figures have a different aesthetic to them, really. Look at a lot of the Scouts like the street bike and forklift molds. They could easily fit in with Classics, Cybertron or even Energon. I basically choose to just display most of them in the movie line anyway, but take select ones I want to put with the Classics. It's all just personal preference really.

Perhaps I will after I've finished watching Energon and move on to Cybertron.

Maybe in a Classics of the Future collection. Hey, there's a thought, with Kup on his way, maybe Brawn will find a home there.

You probably will. I watched Galaxy Force when it first came out and it made me buy a whole lot of figures I probably wouldn't have otherwise. I don't regret most of them though! The only ones I sold were because they later got a repaint I preferred.

He looks fine with my movie guys. I don't have a lot of the characters that appeared in the films though. He hangs with his buddies Armorhide and Scattorshot.

And that last episode will make you WANT a figure they never released - the amazing, awesome, fantastic Signal Flare! Second longest transform sequence after Primus, too...

Thanks for the warning. Maybe i'll have to shut my eyes to avoid this!

That's a toughie... he is kind of an in-between figure. I had him in my Classics display for awhile (since we got a deluxe BB & CJ, I thought NEST Brawn would make a great deluxe-sized Classics stand-in too, instead of the legends Brawn), but I feel like his long-ish arms, & back-curve of his (chicken?) legs makes him fit better in a movie or extended-movie characters display?
Don't get me wrong; I think he's slick, but perhaps a little bit too real-world, curvy/alien-esque to fit in with blockier bots in a Classics display? I'm kinda not making sense & talking out of my butt here, since I still choose to display HFTD Seaspray with Classics, even though he has a similar aesthetic to NEST Brawn (who was moved to movie display). Random personal preference, man.

Yep. Random personal preference applies to pretty much everyone, I think.

For Signal Flare? Haha, it's too awesome to miss! You'd be missing out on a great moment in TF history.
