Is the Movie Voyager Starscream worth the $20? I've read numerous ,mixed reviews. Any opinions would be much appreciated.

Actually very good ive got him in to a bunch of poses. he just lacks not waiste movement but I really didnt care about that. His automorph is cool I like to watch it over and over lol =).

Shoulders/Arms: 5 points of articulation on arms (plus 1 for each of his six fingers total)

Head: Can turn, can not look up.

Waist: None

Legs/Feet: Limited motion at hip, knees, sub-knees, and ankels are all posable.

The arms are something of a mixed bag as there doesn't seem to be any means of locking the shoulders to keep them from flopping down every time you try to adjust the articulation points (which I think are all cut joints, as opposed to ball, aren't they?).

Actually quite good, considering the mold.

The arms have shoulder and elbow movement. (Full range actually.) No wrists, so nothing there of course.)

The legs have full range as well. Hips, knees, feet all articulated, although the feet are limited to up and down, no side to side.

Neck turns left and right, no up or down movement.

No waist.

Still, even with those limitations, he can make some really nice and imposing poses.

Considering he's built like a raptor, his poseability fits quite well.

i love the new Starscream, myself. i wouldn't say its my favorite of the movie figures that i have, but its up there.

posability could be a bit better, the firing missile gimmick makes there be huge chunks of robot on the underside of the jet...
but oddly, even though i usually hate firing missiles, i love them here. the gimmick is pretty neat (and i like that there are "munitions racks" for storing the missiles when you're *not* going to fire them.)

and for no reason other than its awesome, here's a photo i took of starscream stomping on the less than awesome jazz figure:

Yes get him! I got him I had to pay €30 for him that's like $35! bloody rip of Europe. But I don't regret it. It's one of the coolest toys I have ever transformed. I love the Automorth.

He's one of my favorite movie toys. I think I've transformed him more than any other toy from the movie so far.

I love movie Starscreams' figure. Not as complex as Ironhide, but a lot of fun.

What Dead Metal said.

I own Leader Megatron and Leader Prime, so take this opinion accordingly: Voyager Starscream is a MUCH better figure than either of the others.

His transformation, his lack of kibble vs the others, and his Automorph feature is the most satisfying of the others, all of which make him the best.

He is pure badass.

To be honest, of all the figures slated for release, I looked forward to THIS ONE the most. I did not even know they would release a Voyager SS. But when I did find out, and saw the photos...I KNEW he would be awesome.

Locally, he is THE Voyager to have. After the first week of release, he is a mirage. He ceases to exist, essentially. You know they made him once upon a time, but you can't freaking find the guy. All the while Voyager Ratchet, Ironhide and the others sit. Blackout moves pretty fast also. But SS just flies off the shelves, as I went to Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, and Target when I was looking desperatley for Leader Megatron...I found just one in the midst of a sea of Leader Primes. That day I saw not one Leader SS. I am just glad I snapped him up right then and there.

Apparently, I am not the only one who thinks Voyager SS is awesome...

Read my post and decide if he is for you:

You CAN actually lock the shoulders in, it's just further down on the black connector part that attaches the shoulders. There's def a peg and a hole there.
I had the same problem with the fig until I discovered this recently. Much more satisfying now.

I am still on the fence on Voyager Starscream. On the one hand, he's Starscream. On the other, he has no hands, and he is more bird-like in stance than an erect being.

I think the reason why the voyager version starscream looks the way he does is because he is supposed to be trying to imulate megatron. At least that is what it says in his profile.

Can you take pics and show us how? I have seen these pegs, but not a place to stick 'em.

Thanks!

Thanks for the opinions everyone. I did get him, and he is quite cool. The articulation is great. Although I will end up kitbashing him into Eagle Eye from G2. He really reminds me of him.
