With all the great Transformers that are coming out of the Generations line I am really wondering when the rest of the Dinobots will get there update. Sludge and Snarl really have not had an update to their G1 selves that I can think of. I would love some voyager size Dinobots, but it Hasbro did that they would have to redo Grimlock again.

I dunno when, but seeing the Generations line so far, I sure would like to see it

Poor Sludge hasn't seen so much as a reference in 25 years. And no the Sling repaint in Armada does not even begin to qualify.

We are getting the Dinobots Power Core Combiners though if that's any consolation.

I recall Universe getting a Grimlock. Does that count?

Classics got Grimlock. Universe got Dinobot (and Cheetor). Animated got Grimlock, Swoop, and "Snarl."

Hasbro is well aware fans want the other Classic Dinobots, but their current plan is to focus on Transformer vehicles as that's what's popular right now because of the movies. As Overcracker said, we are getting PCC Dinobots, which look awesome and are a nice consolation for not getting the other 4 core Dinobots in Generations.

One positive note: The chance of another Classic Dinobot being made can only get higher as Hasbro makes more Classics characters. In two or three years when Classics Part IV rolls around, Hasbro will have less iconic characters to choose from, and guys like Swoop and the rest will have a much higher chance of making the next Classics roster since everyone else has already been made.

If the rest are anything like Classics Grimlock, can't say I'm in a huge hurry for them...

I think it would also help to have remold/redeco/retool possibilities for Classics-styled Dinobots, rather than just making them one-off molds. A Swoop could be redone into a Terrosaur toy if they ever do more Beast Wars figures (say for an anniversary?). If there are characters they could create for the others as well, that would help.

I want a full set of Dinos, otherwise I may have to get a set of G1 Dinos.

That's the Problem with Sludge. There hasn't been another character to use that type of beast mode.

Swoop, Snarl, and Grimlock were at one point repaints of Beastwars figures for the Dinobot's subline in Armada so taking the reverse path should be easy.

Sludge's beastmode in that sub line wasn't even close to being a Bronto/Brachio type. Not sure they could get away with giving us something that doesn't at least resemble one.

Slag can never again be Slag, but he can be Triceradon, or something like that, and be repainted into BW Triceradon, or even Rhinox with a bit of remolding.

I don't seem the releasing another Grimlock too soon. He's gotten quite a bit of attention in a somewhat short time span already. From Alernators, Universe, Animated, even Masterpiece.

Everytime I see War Within Thrust, I see pre-Beast Terrorsaur.

Imagine the WW Seeker mold repainted as Swoop. Be a nice match with WW Grimlock. Plus Grimlock was a former Decepticon in War Within, why not Swoop? Be a nice twist if Swoop was once a Seeker.

I'd love a Classics Snarl.

And Sludge I suppose. Always felt he had the worst dino mode but I love his character. Dumb, Super strong and painfully shy.

Oh, repaint Cruellock in G1 Dinobot colours and call him Tyrannitron.

Cruellock might be a better name for Slag these days too.

I want Swoop from the WFC Airraid design myself, but the War Within/Cybertron Starscream style could work. I really wouln't mind all that much if we got pre-Earth Dynobots (and/or Predacons, even Beast Wars characters) if it meant some of those awesome designs got used.

There's some room for repaints with the Dinos if they do stick with the classic beast modes. The dino-cassettes for example, and I'm looking at an ad as I type that has a Grimlock/Trypticon repaint (although, I'd prefer a slight retool to have Grimmy's repaint be BW Megs). Slag and Sludge could be repainted into new characters maybe, although a fire-y Slag repaint using some translucent plastic would be amazing. Swoop could obviously be Terrasaur or maybe even Divebomb?

The Predacons of course, even if they're not combining, have a fair few repaint opportunities. If I was good with all that customising malarky I'd have a KO Predaking with Lio-Convoy, Steeljaw (or Tigatron), Rhinox, Stampede (from The Magnificent Six) and Swoop (or maybe Silverbolt).

Due to lack of repaint possibilities I would say that it's not going to happen.

I was so disappointed with Classics Grimlock that he was the only one I didn't buy. I use the Masterpiece one instead (he's a little bit big but it's boring if all the characters are the same size + he's a flippin T-Rex so he should be huge anyway, not deluxe size).

Added to the fact that the word on the streets of Cybertron (message boards of Seibertron) is that we'll be getting the G1 Dinobots reissued next year and I think the chances are pretty small.

I'd love it if they did some tho.

It was a month/couple of months ago now so I can't remember which thread it was in.

They definitely weren't talking about KOs.

It might have been in one of the threads about 2010 Predaking or an early Generations thread.....

Well, I'm not saying that! Not gonna lie though, I don't trust Blurrz' information.

It does seem unlikely given what we've been told about their molds.

I have the feeling hasbro is holding off because they dont know if they'll do them all.
If they did say, only swoop, we'd be asking for the other 3 all the time.
They'd keep saying "we have no plans at this time blah blah"
