Official Dinobot re issue?

We had it beat into us and then we ended up getting the PCC dinobots.
Now the rumors are floating around again in random posts.
Is this a real deal thing or an eternal maybe?
All the other rumors as of late have come true however.
Anyone have some concrete info for little ole us?

I havent heard anything new.
Last offical word from Has/Tak was that the molds to all 5 were either lost or damaged beyond the ability to repair.

The original molds might be destroyed, true, but it's not impossible for them to make new molds from existing figures. They say it's costly to do it, but it's not impossible, and I'm sure they've done it before and just won't admit it.
Bottom line: We're not going to see the missing reissues until they finally feel like doing it. If that happens to be never, then it'll be never.
Don't let them tell you it's impossible. Just realize that it's their way of saying "We're not doing it."

That was my understanding as well, but it is cheaper to make molds/toys from existing products than recreate it from scratch. Just wanted to see what everyone came up with or heard whispered as of late

Cheaper......maybe, but is it cost effective for Has/Tak to do so???
Meaning would Has/Tak make enough of an immediate profit in doing so.
I'm not so sure they would.

If they're going to go through the cost and effort of making a new mold, I'd bet they'd just go Masterpiece over reissue. We're already seen a Masterpiece Grimlock, and while it's not the same as the G1 toy, it certainly seems to be designed to be a modern version of the G1 toy.

Interesting to see that the majority of those TF's name above have recently had a relatively decent Chinese KO produced. I think we may have found where those stolen molds finally ended up!

I thing it lends credit to the rumor that when Has/Tak pulled out of some of their warehouses in China they left behind some of the molds.
What about the G2 molds for Grimlock, Snarl, Slag and the Constructicons, could they not be used instead, or are just in fact the same original G1 molds?
In most cases, G2 figures were made from the same G1 molds.
