Got my preorders in. I know I won't be able to find these in the wild; heck, I can't even find Dirge or Red Alert in my area.

Also, for some strange reason, I like the idea of Kup being referred to as Sergeant. Don't know if this is what he was in the IDW comics but it gives him a more authoritative and respected image; unlike the crazy old koot we all knew him to be from the cartoons.

It has more to do with trademarks, yet again. Instead of the "Autobot" and "Decepticon" prefixes the trademarked names require, they have other prefixes to avoid spoiling the surprise of what allegiance the character was (as if the back of the packaging didn't do that already :lol:

). That's how we got "Turbo Tracks", "Solar Storm Grappel", "Special Ops Jazz" and now "Sergeant Kup".

Just put my pre-orders in for Kup, Scourge, Wreck-Gar and Perceptor. cant wait! I too did the "seargant" prefix for Kup.

yeah i am ghoing to wait for hasbrotoyshop to get em because a lot of these might be repaints and i wont waste my money on them. get images up bbts

You're absolutely right. I didn't know Kup was going to be a part of the RTS line but it does make sense. Also, I think it fixes the trademark issues on some of the characters. It beats having the redundant "Autobot" in front of the name.

They're original molds aside from Prime and Bumblebee. Still, you're probably better off waiting since BBTS charges a little more than Hasbro. I just can't wait to get these so I went ahead and preordered them at BBTS.

They're re-issues of the original Classics molds. The United line is bringing these molds back to the Japanese market so I'm assuming this is the case with Hasbro's Generations/RTS line. Here are the links for your viewing pleasure.

Not yet, but I'm assuming that he'll be released along with Wheeljack, Frenzy/Rumble, and Reflector.
