Thanks to Transformers insiders s250 and yizhi, we've got some in-hand images of the late 2010 Deluxe class release, Special Ops Jazz. Of note, Jazz sports a transformable rifle. Does anyone know if the Hasbro version features the speakers that come out the windows like the TF United version?

It's the same mold, so yes.

Even if they are removable, it was Hasbro that first mentioned the speakers in an interview. So don't sweat it.

Unless you didn't want them in the first place. In which case, tough cookies I guess. :???:

Yeah, it doesn't reflect his happy-go-lucky personality. Say, was there a big fan outcry about that one reissue Jazz having a remolded smiling face? If so, could this be Hasbro's overreaction?

Regardless, these pics make this toy look cooler than ever. Now they need to take another crack at Ironhide and give him 30 pop-out gadgets to go with Jazz's special-ops-speakers.

The mold looks great, but I have little to no doubt now that the Takara version is going to "premium" this up a lot. The grill, the wheels, the door markings...all have areas of easy and simple improvement, much like Henkei Smokescreen did.

Beautiful figure! I cannot wait until he's released. "These pics are like candy to me," as a certain someone would say. ;)

It looks very good. I will buy this, but boy does Jazz look pretty angry! I would've thought he would have a smirk or something instead of looking like a gruff-tough club bouncer.

This is one of the figures I've been wanting ever since they started the Classics line! I like how the vehicle mode looks kind of like a combination of a Porsche and a Pontiac Solstice, as an homage to his movie alt mod. I'm glad that it looks like the windows are a lighter blue than they had looked in some older photos. It looks nearly perfect. All I don't like are the lack of the little light blue stripes inside the main ones on his vehicle mode, and the lack of a logo on the side (they obviously can't do the Martini logo, but they could've at least done something with his name, like for the G1 redeco of Movie Jazz). Oh well, Reprolabels will probably make a sticker set to fix those.

Was it worth the wait? I reckon the photos speak for themselves; the mould's spot-on. I'll always see Animated Jazz as the the most successful attempt at encapsulating 'Jazz' the character, but as an updated G1 toy this is, to paraphrase Drift's sword, 'peerless, without equal' :D

As far as I know, that grin was a consequence of mould degradation. I kind of love it on my reissue Jazz though. He looks more akin to the English meaning of 'pissed'!

In the IDW verse he isn't as happy go lucky as he was in G1. He is an ex-special ops bot.

This figure is definitely the one I am most excited about, with or without any surprises.

Yes. Most definitely. Jazz deserves his own figure! And technically 27 years, but who's counting? We love him too much to count!

I was gonna say, he looks grumpy!

Looks good, but once again they let us down with the paint apps...the grill & wheels need paint, and for some reason the legs look unfinished. The half white/half black on the shins just doesn't look right. Other than that, he looks great, they did an awesome job on his head sculpt & visor.

Hopefully we get to see images of the Takara version before these hit stores so I can see if I should pick that up instead.

He's grumpy because it took him approximately 27 years to get a proper mold akin to his TV model. I noticed that too. Perhaps they'll fix it later in the future? :???:
