This is a bit of a toughie. Jazz was one of my all time favourite G1 characters in the cartoon, and Tracks's toy is just super bad, in a super cool way.

If I had to spend my money on one of them, I'd definitely get Tracks.

Just get both.

The latest Jazz/Meister encore is the best version ever. Tracks is no pushover too so just get both.

Uh, both? But if you have to choose go with... Tracks. More play value, or something. But Jazz is really good too. He's Jazz!

If you need a version of Jazz, get the Encore. That version has the fixed face (the original started degrading since G2, and was fixed for the Stepper/Ricochet reissue) and has no alignment problems that plagued previous releases.

Tracks is a great figure and a pseudo triple-changer with his flying car mode. Also his missile launchers can mount to his vehicle mode to have a heavily armed sportscar! For playability's sake you can do no better than going for Tracks. Jazz, on the other hand, is friggin' Jazz. He's probably among the most badass of the Autobots out there. It is a tough call, but if you've got a shot at a decently priced G1 Tracks, (as opposed to a reissue) then Encore Meister/Jazz can wait. Go for Tracks.

I'd say Tracks only if he is in good shape, and his elbows are not cracked.

Get Jazz, he's great!

Just goes to show how great both characters' charisma goes.

Okay somewhat digressing(should be in the comic section), but if I want to give IDW any credit, it's how they portrayed an already cool character that is Jazz into an even more bad@ss one similar to G.I. Joe's Snake Eyes.

It was priceless how Jazz handled buff Springer in CQC and how he dealt with the Predacon's single handedly.

Man, don't spoil things for me, I haven't gotten that far yet!

Damn. Yeah, Jazz is badass. But get Tracks if it comes down to it. Jazz is easier to get.
