This has almost certainly been done before, and I would wager it has probably been done to death also. However as I'm relatively new on these boards I'm going to ask it anyway! So...

Whats your favourite ever Transformer toy and why?

It can be any toy, any character, and from any continuity.

Mine, is rather obviously G1 Ultra Magnus. He was the first TF I was completely awestruck by. He was totally wicked, he was like Optimus Prime on steroids. From the second I saw him in Woolworth's I absolutely had to have him. I used to nag my Mum something chronic before I finally got him for my birthday or Christmas or something. Ever since my love affair with him has yet to be abated, and probably never will.

So that's mine then, now over to you...

Slag this is hard!

Probably Omega Sentinel. Because he has so many gimmicks, he's really huge, someone gave him to me, he turns into large weapon modes, and he combines with OPTIMUS PRIME!

Although I bet if I got G1 Ultra Magnus this would change. I'm just hesitant to spend so much dough on a good enough one. He looks so awesome! Uggh!

Hmmm, I had Ultra Magnus, and that's a GREAT choice; I LOVED UM.

I gotta say Grimlock, though. He's the first TF I can remember having.

He's gone now (sob!) and I have to buy him off Ebay for $60+. Bullshit! Lol.

I love threads like this! Maybe it's time to resurrect "4 questions about your collection" in the same spirit.

My all-time favorite TF would be either my Beast Wars Telemocha SP-DX ultra-class Megatron or Metals Megatron... so much personality packed into them, & I love 'em both as great representations of one of my all-time favorite characters!

Wow, this is tough. As a kid I loved Devastator, Metroplex, Abominus, and Ultra-pretender Roadblock the most. I probably would say Metroplex would be my favorite of all time.

Of all time you say? I have two that are tied. Henkei Prime and Megatron. These two are the best reimagings of their G1 counterparts. They are iconic, can handle a number of poses and despite my many transformations of both, have never had any problems with chipping or wearing chrome. And once Renderprom puts out his upgrade for Megatron, he's gonna be the baddest Decepticon to ever stand on my shelves.

Odd to hear a Megatron fangirl say such a thing, isn't it? Can't help it...that figure is just all-around fantastic! It's the most playable toy ever manufactured...too bad I don't yet own one. Soon, though....soon.

Henkei Dark Skyfire

For me, it would have to be the first two deluxe transformers I had at the age of eight, Mirage and Jazz. For whatever reason, their packaging got me into the toys, even though I already had a red bumblebee (why was he red?). Oddly, both of those transformers broke, far more easily than other transformers I owned. My favorite current piece is the Hasbro Red Alert. I never got the original, but always liked his color scheme, and this one is cool enough for me. Metroplex was pretty cool though too...

G1 Scorponok. How many other large TF toys can pick up a couple of average size TF's?

Armada Supercon Optimus Prime. That thing has one of the most awesome robot modes ever on a Deluxe figure, and a pretty decent truck mode too. If the Mini-Con gimmick is crappy (which it is), then that just shows how much care went into making this toy. I can't play with mine anymore because the peg holding the legs together broke and it's just too sad.

I'd have to agree with G1 Skorponok as my favorite TF ever. So much play value (a triplechanger!, a Headmaster! a base!), so many gimmicks, and such an important character in a lot of TF fiction... This question actually makes me go and get him out of storage.
